i'm ready to start purchasing mutual funds and stocks for long-term investment. as i'm searching multiple firms to find the best deal, i'm not exactly sure what i should be looking for besides fees for commission and trading. i signed up with E*Trade long ago, but never opened an account. which ones are you using? which ones are the best for a beginning investor? or for people who are interested in long-term investments? any help would be much appreciated.
