* A well organized hierarchy system based on Afikan King/Queenship

* Provides excellent wholistic information on matters of spiritual development that can be applied to ones life and the results can be experienced directly. They do this better than any other org i've seen.

* Emphasizes that each individual is Ausar("god"), and that all of the deities are just personifications of specific energies that exist within.

* Emphasizes that each persons growth is determined by how dedicated they are to their own spiritual cultivation. (Preisthood Initiation is the real deal)

* Utilizes the oracle system (Metu Neter/I Ching/etc.) and astrology systems.

* Understands various spiritual energy principles.

* Priesthood is very good and giving counsel in various areas of life.

* Provides a great sense of community.

* Ra Un Nefer is the King and his ideas, many which are business related, take precedence over your individual goals. "Support your king". (I'm an artist. These cats seriously was tryna get me to be a damn nutritional supplement salesman. Telling me to energize my Sebek....Ha!)

* The constant fees: Books, Cds, Classes, Counsel, Nile Valley Products, Community dues, projects, retreat, etc.(I literally had my bank account dwindle to zero with these cats)

* Poor people can't afford to be apart of it....see above

* If you aren't breakin' off some money, you may not be treated as a member of the community....just a vistor.

* Hierarchy systems benefit those high on the ladder and can limit those below. They also cultivate the feeling that those high up are ALWAYS correct. Challenges to questionable actions are shot down.

He is not saying he "invented" Mdw Ntr, he is just saying
that his work is a revival of the Words of the Ntr (Life Principles
or what religious people call "gods")

He has formal training in music and mathematics,
a vegan, and strong "humanist" attitude to things
although it's draped up into his schizophrenic
"I/We are God (Nk Wsr) but we are not 'The God'" stylo he be on.
Through the books Mdw Ntr vol 1. and 2. I was able to
personally make the step to give up consumption of meat.
The way he described how people had to prepare meat
to taste like and had a texture of a vegetable, and also
do herbivores that we eat, do they eat me? also if
we are real meat eaters why don't we have longer canines
and why do we have to tenderize and cook meat to consume it.

I have been to a coupla few of his lectures. I always supported
Itongo Food Co-op in Chicago (closed now) when I would be
through there, intermittently, while I was at Purdue.
They were using the Co-op as a Het Neter in the backroom meeting
place. Always had great discussions with peoples up there.
Also the times I could make it to Atlanta, networking with peeps
at Senbeb co-op and so forth.

They have a co-op down in Charlotte, NC I hit up every once and a
while, and I have been to their series of Qi Gong classes
they had at John C Smith university in Charlotte. Some sharp
people, besides the whole God schizophrenia thing. Did
some actuary/math consulting for one of the brothers who was trying
to draw up the pattern in the book called Cycles by Dewey, to
do some financial forecasts (he's a financial planner banker).
You know they even let me lead one of their Qi Gong classes once,
but I understood it was a "recruitment" tactic to try to
get me to join the Society and go into the priesthood, which I
wont do because I am already dedicated to Allah's Nation and
don't believe in a mystery God nor do I advocated "I am God
but I am not The God" schizophrenia. At least they pointing
people in a better direction than "you ain't even God you
are just worthless" direction that most religious groups
be on. And what I look like
bowing to PEOPLE and stuff?! I'll shake your hand and that's
about it, or if we are doing martial arts and we are BOTH
bowing to each other as a salute, but otherwise, hegs naw!
I understand why they
do that because they are trying to teach humility, but they
are diluting the reality a little bit in the process.
They was going to have classes later on what they call "Cosmologics"
i.e. ASTROLOGY and I was like "ehhhhhhhhh I will pass on that"
I don't be advocating astrology, it's a form of unfounded
classism to me. Yeah and I know not to get on that
whole "paper trail" with them, I rather be treated just as
an observer visitor, than to get into the whole givin' up
the loot thing on the level the members are on. I will say
I never felt jipped when I spent money with these people on
food, oils, toiletries, books, health evaluations (that
electric meridian machine consultation) and music.
I can't say that about alot of other black people or organizations
I have done business with. One of their Shkhm (Shekhem or
King Priest) their even broke down to me the history between
them and Smai Tawi (Semahj, Afua and them) as far as the
so called "competition" from the 70's.

It was really something for me to see Hmn draw up the Ntrw in
Mdw Ntr to a system of Kabbalah/Tree Of Life/SUPREME MATHEMATICS
in some form, I thought that was cool, although to me some of
the Ntrw he matched up to Mathematics are out of order a little bit.

I ask Hmn one time about this so called Rosicrucian affiliation he
had in the past, that is listed for his Society in some
religious/philosophical reference books. He told me "naw I was
never IN the Rosicrucian Society, but I did rent their
space to have lectures there
about the Kabbalah and African/Black Philosophy, and then those
people in that organization started to invite me to do guest lectures
for their group also".

He said he really started organizing in 1970 and it eventually
transformed in to Ausar Auset Society International from that point.
He said "I wanted to get our people to stop eating fried chicken!!!!"
muha, MUHA, MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah I have most of his books (about 6 or 7 or so) and books from
some of his peeps like Enkamit who wrote "African Names", and
I bought one of those video tapes about Woman's Healing Dance from
ONE OF HIS WIVES! (one of! props! :-P) for a friend of mine at
Purdue who was a choreographer in West African dance at Purdue.

I have also been to their Het Neter in Medina (Brooklyn) when it was
on Atlantic Avenue, they have like sort of a "mall" inside, with
a health food co-op, a clothing store, a book store, a restaurant,
a day care and grammar school, as well as their temple space and
oracle offices and stuff. The food was SLAMMIN! (Gluten patties
and rice with brocolli = MMMMM MMMMMMM!!) They don't have that
space anymore, but they have a new but smaller space further up
Flatbush ave now, went thru there one day this summer and Hmn was
giving free classes on Mdw Ntr.

I have alot of old and current friends in their Society and
they have all been good peeps. They don't come off as
holier than though people, and they are actually not afraid to
ask for help from outside people and organizations/society.

This is true and was ultimately the final thing led to my departure after 2 years of study with them, including 7 months of priesthood initiation. One of the elders said to me after a ritual, where some things were said that i found to be suspect, "You don't challenge the deity."......I was thinkin' to myself, 'wait, I 'm the deity'. Then everyone in the group proceeded to make comments on some ole Ra Un Nefer worship type shit. I was, 'fuck that' and i never returned after that.

Amen is representative of the total peace state(hetep), A state of no movement. Within man, this is the state where one isn't moved by anything. From this position, Amen manifests the first thought that one can be anywhere, anytime, being what one chooses. This is the manifestation of Ausar.

Reaching Amen is the the goal, for Amen is 'mindstate' one is operating from, yet Ausar is who one is, thru the proper utilization of the unification of the deities on the 'Tree of Life'.

I was at their building for an event they had one night and i was kickin' with my homie, who does production for Queen Afua's son. So, at the end of the night, my friend disappeared into the studio, which was downstairs, with dude and had been in there for a long time. I was ready to go back to my room and I was flying out of NY the next day and wanted to say "Peace" to my homie, so I go downstairs to the studio. I hear the cat recording vocals and wait til there's a break, then i knock on the door...nobody opens. He raps again and on the next break i knock again....nobody opens. I know how rappin' mu'fuckaz be when they in the booth so i wait another 5 minutes then knock again....This nigga opens the door all fast screamin', "What!? I'm doin' my shit!!!" I said,"Nigga you ain't learned what 'Hetep' is about yet, cuz i need to say it to my brotha before i depart..."

As for Queen Afua, I came to her shop, alone maybe 4 times in like 6 days and she never anything to me other than "How are you doing?" and "Can i help you?....You shouldn't be over here" She was NOT very open to me. Her husband was cool though. I kicked it with him for a good minute.

Though Queen Afua's books read pretty nice, they whole thing seemed like some shit people who left Ausar Auset on some emotional, "fuck Ra Un Nefer", type shit would turn to.

I don't know if that is necessarily positive. There is ALOT of
overlap between the books too. He has some great books on diet,
parallels of Nile Valley meditation to Indian meditation, comparitive
world philosophy to Nile Valley philosophy, etc., but the more books
he puts out, the more I get the "yorkism publishing methods"
sensation from this guy. I haven't checked out any of his videos
yet. Peace.

Sebai Maa may not have the Akan type networking and municipality placement going
for him, but after further review of some of his scholarly research, in particular, his
book "Egypt and India, the Origin of Hinduism, Yoga, Buddhism and Dharma" I can
definitely say that Sebai Maa / Dr. Muata Ashby is NO SLOUCH and is very
competent and maybe even more so than Ra Un Nefer Amen on the historicity tip.

May depart of ways so to speak, when it concerns Amen or Maa, is there insistence
to use Religion, dejection of the Super Ego by advocating a Mystery God even in the
midst of Heroistic / Heru-istic psychiatry, and dependence on such fallacious concepts
such as "reincarnation" and "astro logic / astrology" (Maa and astrology, no so much).
I had a chance to do the knowledge to a religious function performed by the
Shetuat Neter temple, and the convener was thorough in terms of using ALL
MDW NTR speech and writing during the whole observance. They even did a brief
kundalini exercise before the service.

Amen happened to have given a a few days before
covering the topic of venerating the ancestors, and showing and proving that it was
a strict and thorough process, and not just any tom dick jane or sally was
venerated, unless it had been recorded and shown by witnesses that they upheld
a high moral and life science character. The only argument I couldn't get with was his
supposition of the Mystery Spook God, by advocating that "innocent children" who
get killed by plague, malady, war or disease, just basically get to "reincarnate" and
otherwise what's the point of them dying if they don't get "another chance" THEREFORE
my Mystery God concept exists (smh). To me that's a cop out and in a way devaluates
the actual VALUE of human life as well as the life of Man, by advocating this second
multiple chance reincarnation philosophy.

I also did some discussions between the two groups in terms of their perspectives
of the PSDJT NTRW or the "Ennead" "Great 9/10/11" "Tree of Life" schematics for
the arrangement and usage of NTRW in each respective system. I have not
come across in any of the traditional literature from the HPY river valley the
arrangement that Amen devised in 1973 in terms of Amen, Ausar, Tehuti, Seker-t, Ma'at
Heru Khuti, Heru, Het Heru, Sobek, Auset, and Geb. I have come across the particular
list of monarchs in the Old Kingdom that came in the name of Shekem, which is
is the title Amen and some of his supplemental auxilary kings use. I suppose I will
have to check some of these Old Kingdom records of those particular Shekem
monarchs to see if they ever used this arrangement for their solar barque or
"tree of life". Amen says he didn't just derive it from one of his ancestoral meditations
(which to me means, he is saying he didn't just "make it up"). He says check the
Pyramid Texts, PRT M HRW, The Book of Gates, and the Book of the Am-Duat for
references to "HIS" version of the Tree of Life. I do see that Maa's version is straight
out of Anunian/Heliopolis Theology in terms of Ra, Shu, Tefnut, Geb, Nut, Ausar,
Auset, Set, Neb Het. Bro. Amen says that the Anu Tree is only reserved for
"Nebercher" The Supreme Being "Mystery God" that he and Maa and other
Nile Valley proponants advocate as the surpreme "trancendental" Mystery God. To
Bro. Amen, this means that the Anu Tree is not applicable to "people". I disagree, since
to me, People are the Supreme Being, and all those elements in the Anu Tree
(NOT NO DAMN SUMERIAN ANNUNAKI EITHER) are just fundamental Physical and Life
Elements, Light/Fire/Plasma, Gas, Liquid, Solid, Vacuum, Man, Woman, Fauna, Flora.
Anyway, if anybody has seen the group of NTR / Neter that Ra Un Nefer Amen uses
in any of the classical literature in one grouping, please let me know what book or
passage it was in.

The other thing that kinda made me frown was the Shetuat Neter religious ritual
with the alter and a canvas of Ra and Ma'at with the Cipher/Circle Dot in the middle
to also represent Ra, and the people was prostrating and bowing to it :(
Then the dude gave the lecture about how Ra and Heru is "you" and that they are
bowing to themselves. That kind of thinking always urked me. Why in the hell
is you making excuses for subservient behavior by claiming that the objects you
prostrating to are "your self", or that you are "worshiping yourself". That's the
dumbest ass concept I ever heard of, but oh well, it was a religious activity, so you
got to acknowledge for what it is, religion :(

Otherwise, these two groups are doing some fairly serious work and preserving
HPY (Nile) valley culture in the black community, and incorporating holistic practices
associated with it, as well as supplementary holistic practices from related sources
and ways of life.

Sooooo I was finally able to obtain this groups primary literature outside of their catechism, which is called the Fahamme Gospel. The group was founded in 1919 by "The Culture Prophet, The Prophet of Amun-Ra, The Honorable Paul Nathaniel Johnson, Rasool Fahame" as the "Fahamme American-Ethiopian Temples of Science and Culture" and later called the "Fahamme Temple of Civil and Divine Understanding" and now called the "Fahamme Temple of Isis El Amun". Fahamme is their spelling for the modern arabic word "Understanding" or "Wisdom" which is Fahom or Fahum. This brother basically came straight ouf of the Moorish National and Divine Movement / Moorish Science Temple of America founded in 1913, so when you see some of their old school pictures, they are wearing Fezes and Hijabs and so forth and so on.

Let me give y’all some excerpts of this "The Holy Fahamme Gospel" copyright 1943 (Chapters 1-9 was formally written on or before 1943, chapters 10-32 was written 1968 after Johnson expired in 1944, by a reclamation of notes of Johnson by his students). 1) Their use of geomancy and relating it to the 4 elements Nw/Nu (instead or Rh/Ra?) Shw (Shu)

a stronger influence than "astrology" because people are closest to the actual planet Earth and

Peace. I’m going to do some what do an itemized review on each group from the "Revival of Nile Valley Culture in the Black Community" post. Some I have already done reviews for.

Soooooo, I have a grandfather and grandmother on my Physical Foundation’s (Father’s) side who was in the freemasonic fraternity and eastern star "co-ed fraternity" respectively. Now they wasn’t PHA (Prince Hall Affiliated) although they was black, but they had friends that was PHA. In addition, the had friends that was in the appellate / auxiliary organization AEANOMS and Daughters of "Isis". What I noticed about, not necessarily them, but some of their friends, is their LIBRARIES that had all types of "Signs and Symbols of Primordial Man" and "Isis Unveiled" and "Egyptian Book of the Dead" type jointz in they library. I only even noticed WHAT those books was AFTER I started adding on to Allah’s Nation, so when I go back and visit some of those peoples, I would be like "look at y’all, y’all been had ’some’ knowledge and y’all couldn’t even drop some Knowledge on a young brother?" :-P So yeah, that was my observation. Next I want to take a look at Thmei Research with Sun Ra and El Saturn Record Company or El Saturn Research. Basically, since the late 50’s, Sun Ra, members of his band, and other patrons, engaged in a sort of "philosophical collective" in Chicago, with regular meetings or public lectures/demos outside just the jazz band performances, and even at some of the performances, where they passed out flyers and bits of literature related to some investigations into Black Classical Civilization such as in the HPY / Nile River Valley.

The Wisdom of Sun Ra compiled by John Corbett

They found a stash of Sun Ra’s "plus lessons" in Chicago. The beginning of the book is actually the photocopies, and the second half is the words from the photocopies retyped. My next project is to acquire "The Immeasurable Equation" a collection of Sun Ra’s prose from his albums and other sources. What most are going to find controversial are the Egypt/India connection that Sun Ra promotes
and which DIRECTION he says one goes into the other

I know some of the "Egyptian"/"Kemetic"/TH MRY/HPY Yoga advocates are going to have trouble with this ascertain, while some of the advocates will not, in addition to some of the Chaldea "Sumeria" claims. Whatever the case, Sun Ra was investigating this stuff long before the Ancient Egyptian Order / Nuwaubians of York and other similar Egyptology/Extraterrestial advocacy groups in the black community, where promoting this kind of "history", and flip flopping between which was "earliest" (Egypt, Sumeria, or India), or reiterating older groups such as the Moorish Science Temple of America that insisted on a "Canaan" origin for Asiatic "Moor". Chicago had the climate of the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, the Muslims of the Nation of Islam under Elijah Muhammad, and the remnants of the Moorish Science Temple of America under their remaining temples and appellate organizations, or "street liberation organizations" such as the Black Stones and El Rukns, in addition to any Fahamme Temple people that may have been left in Chicago.

Egypt, Sumeria, Arabia, or India? hmmmmmmm I have a personal bias toward the ARABIA origin based on the people of the HPY River Valley themselves calling Punt or the "Horn of Africa" and Arabia by the name ThWY NTRW (Tawi Neteru), DISTINCT from TH NTR (TH NTR) of the Great Lakes and Mount Killimanjaro, also the abundance of petrochemicals in "Arabia" indicating a mass concentration of biomass in antiquity, in addition to, the actual sizable percentage of Black People in Arabia of various hair textures, and there affinity in appearance to people in India (Dalits) and Eastern "Africa" and along the Nile, etc.

To add on, in the book "Pathways to Unknown Worlds: Sun Ra, El Saturn & Chicago's Afro-Futurist Underground, 1954-68", there is not only artwork from vinyl records that was sold, as well as insert poetry, there is FLYERS and BUSINESS CARDS for El Saturn Research, Promoters such as the "Atonites", and an ACTUAL FLYER for THMEI RESEARCH which shows a vision that looks like
the PR NTR / PR RH (Temple) in the city of YWNW (Annu/On) other wise known as "Heliopolis temple of Luxor". Then there are two figures in the bottom corners with rays coming out of they brain/pineal and forming geometrical proof diagrams for triangles and squares and stuff. I'll get a scan of it later. This book also verifies that Thmei Research had been around since 1951, with
main founders Sun Ra and Alton Abraham, who was also involved with the philosophical research
as well as the business side for El Saturn Records. The above mentioned book might be at "a fine Barnes and Noble or Borders bookstore near you" *snicker*, for you to preview. I'm going to contact Atlon Abraham's son, Adams Abraham, to see if he has any more material on the actual Thmei Research segment of the operations. I just previewed that book yesterday at the libary, and soaked up almost all of chapter two which goes further into Thmei Research, called in the book Ihnfinity Inc. and the reprisals of them going out to Washington Park in Chicago and teaching. I had also had access to "Children of the Sun" by George Wells Parker, which may even beat out Fahamme Temple in terms of explicit reference to a HPY society via the Hamitic Leauge of the World, the organinzation Parker was involved with. Check interlibrary loan for "God wills the Negro".
I saw it several places on worldcat. If it's on worldcat at several libraries, the probability is high you can check it out through interlibrary loan. Peace.

The thing I can say, although I don't agree with the homosexual stuff, is that it's mostly a black centered presentation of the culture. That's why I am including it in the list. You have to be very carefull mixing techniques, meditations and exercises from different traditions.

It is best to choose one authentic tradition and to submit to that choice.

Realizing God, Allah, etc. is about submission.

English is not my language so it is difficult for me to explain but if you gather all this information from all these different sources and you pick and choose what you like and don't like......it's a service to your ego.

It is better to choose one path (any path)and to submit to that path 100%.....even if it is the wrong path your submission to that path will eventually show you the right path because submission is a declaration of war to your ego (lower self.

But to me it seems that these "organizations" practice a little bit of everything (Qi Gong, Egyptology, Krishnaism, Kabbalism, Astrology, Pantheism, Hinduism, Yoga, Buddhism etc.) and they put it in a "(pan)-african" context which can be attractive for black people because we can claim it and identify ourselves with it more easily.

But a little bit of everything is actually alot of nothing in my opinion.

Al of these spiritual practices are good because they come from a authentic source. When you choose one of these spiritual practices you realize your higher-self because you submit to one of these spiritual practices (meditation, breathing, fasting, praying etc.) and through submission you tame your lower-self.

But what happens when you mix all these spiritual practices up? That is very dangerous because you will go "spirituality shopping" (consumerism in spirituality). You take a little from this, a little from that. Everything you agree with (or your ego agrees with)you collect and you stop practicing everything you don't agree with (or your ego doesn't agree with). And that is not spirituality. That is service to the ego.

If you submit to one specific spiritual practice or tradition you will tame your ego and polish the mirror of your heart by submission and even when you submit to a false relgion or inauthentic form of spirituality your heart will show you the right path.

But you can't choose the right path without polishing your heart through submission first.

This is just my opinion and I am not a scholar or expert and I'm not trying to insult anybody.

Yes. All these "systems" originated in Africa, just like humans originated in Africa. It was one "system". When humans started to relocate to different places they adjusted the "system" to the context of their new locations and situations. That's the only difference between all these "systems".
