We JUST saw Oregon favored to beat them by 9.5 on a neutral field, and Washington won. Before Friday night I heard a lot of analysts saying Oregon was currently playing the best in the country. So the “would be favored on a neutral field” thing isn’t really relevant.

That being said, there are no consistent rules/criteria to how they figure this stuff out. They justify whatever they want based on ratings or whatever. Especially in a case like this where whatever decision is made would go against some type of justification that has been used in prior years.
