GOAT.

There’s plenty that’ll be written, but this is indisputable
2779371, respect to the GIANT...

I was gonna make this post, but thought it would be more suitable for someone who truly loved the sport to do it, instead. The universe got it right.
2779381, Tangential, but this got me:

2779373, I couldn’t care less about football. But greatness is greatness.

The man was The Man among Men, a guy who was a hero to our heroes.

I hope his death- and life- gets the coverage and sentiment it deserves.

Nah, just playin'.

Stuck in the car all day today, but listening to all the tributes and discussion on the BBC and SiriusXM FC.

He had already retired by then, but when I was a real little kid I had a poster of Pele in a New York Cosmos uniform on my wall. The first soccer player I was ever aware of.
2779379, I remember Pele from the movie Victory with Stallone

wasn’t much of a fan of the sport but when I was a kid Pele was that dude when they talked about the best player of all time.
2779390, Respect.

2779443, Brazil was introduced to the world via Pele.

When I say Brazil I am not talking about then soccer team....I mean the whole damn country. Soccer is central to the national identity like war or wall street is central the US identity...and Pele is the cornerstone. That is how important he is in his country. He did a lot of good with his social capital as well.
2779592, And Joao Gilberto.
