2694791, NBA Playoffs Rd 2: Nuggets vs Blazers
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Tue Apr-30-19 12:54 AM
Great approach to Game 1.

Nuggets pulled it out. They're a serious match up problem for the Blazers.
2694792, You could tell that shoulder was bothering Kanter he was scoring but...
Posted by ThaTruth, Tue Apr-30-19 03:07 AM
but he was barely even trying to rebound
2694804, Five steals for Plum Dogg!
Posted by Frank Longo, Tue Apr-30-19 10:26 AM
I know he's had better statistical seasons, but I feel like this year has been the best ball of his career, because he fits the role of that backup energy big on a good team so, so well.

Edit: just looked at his stats, cuz why not-- 4th in the NBA in defensive box plus-minus this year, 17th in defensive rating. Not bad, Plum Dogg! Top 20 in block rate too. Doesn't need to worry about fouling out, cuz he's the backup, just try hard for 20-25 MPG. He can just run out there, hustle, swat shots, try hard. Beautiful.
2694826, But Alex Len better..... LMAO

Considering MAGA Hayward's career ending due to injury & Love being washed could my white brethren give me the top 5 white Americans based on the Mayo ranking......(LMAO if 50 year old ReDick is #1)
2694955, “Love being washed”....jeez,forgot he was in the league
Posted by DJR, Wed May-01-19 11:16 PM
He played 22 games and shot 39%? At age 30? The hell happened? I truly don’t remember? Seems like a great second chance to be a building block to a franchise, no?
2694828, Three more, just like that.
Posted by khn, Tue Apr-30-19 02:19 PM
They cannot stop us. On the other end, let Dame eat, contain CJ (and Rodney Hood, I guess) and keep a lid on everyone else.
2694868, Pretty much..... It is gonna take big performances from Harkless and Aminu
Posted by josephmurf2384, Tue Apr-30-19 11:02 PM
for Portland to stand a chance and i do not see that happenening.
2694938, Nuggets brickin everything

2694942, Yeah they are missing wide open looks
Posted by josephmurf2384, Wed May-01-19 09:34 PM
still within reach though.
2694943, I didn't realize they let Kanter wear 00 when ame wears 0
Posted by josephmurf2384, Wed May-01-19 09:36 PM
2694953, Worst showing of the postseason imo
Posted by khn, Wed May-01-19 10:58 PM
Insipid, languid, Nyquil-doused play... and it'd be true even if they were making shots. Wasted a bad game from Lillard and wasted home court advantage. Just an awful showing from everyone on the squad except Jamal and Torrey, who get a pass for playing through some significant pain.

Portland is gonna come back with the exact same gameplan on Friday. Hope we're up for it.
2694956, Nuggets missed all the 3's.... and kept shooting more 3's.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed May-01-19 11:59 PM
I loved how they fought back and clawed into the game though.

They'll take at least one in Portland.
2695066, enes kanter tough as nails mayne.

2695070, finito.

2695071, That sucked. Oh well. Win Game 4 and they're back in this.

2695137, It was a hell of a coaching move
Posted by josephmurf2384, Sun May-05-19 04:21 AM
he was fresh and reliable when everyone else on the court except McCollum was dragging. 3 clutch possesions and you could tell no one on Denver could match his hustle.
2695144, Once Teefus checked in skipping, I was like "Awwwww shit".
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Sun May-05-19 11:38 AM
2695161, shaq just spanked a grown mans butt on national tv.

2695344, The Nuggets are absolutely embarassing the Blazers right now

2695349, such a good win
Posted by josephmurf2384, Wed May-08-19 02:18 AM
endin it in Portland would be a huge statement win.
2695579, Oh well. The bench needs to get on track. I expect a Game 7 win.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Fri May-10-19 12:23 AM
Won't be easy.

But they shouldn't have 2 bad shooting games in a row.
2695619, The bench straight up lost the game
Posted by khn, Fri May-10-19 01:46 PM
First by letting that huge lead we built in the first vanish by the might of the seemingly invincible Rodney Hood and then just cobbling together 13 gotdamn measly points for the rest.

Our shit doesn't work if none of them are performing. And for the series were not getting consistent production from any of them, and that goes for guys who I like and think are good (Morris, Beasley), guys I like but have no illusions about (Thrillhouse), and guys who I appreciate for trying really hard but also struggle to see what the point of them actually is more often than not (Plumdogg).

But you know what? Props to Portland. All you can say about Dame and CJ is that they delivered massively. The team as a whole stepped up the intensity on defense, kept us out of the paint, and forced us to take average-to-shitty shots. And Rodney Hood. What a time to wake up. We have nothing for him.

Probably right that this goes 7. Be still, my heart.
2695846, Lillard & Murray having a Brickathon...
Posted by ThaTruth, Sun May-12-19 04:19 PM
2695849, ok this game was trash earlier but got good at the end lol
Posted by ThaTruth, Sun May-12-19 05:02 PM
2695850, CJ McCollum fry fest
Posted by Beezo, Sun May-12-19 05:03 PM

2695852, That MJ push-off on the last shot, love it
Posted by benny, Sun May-12-19 05:07 PM
2695851, CJ cooking, Dame on milk carton status
Posted by ThaTruth, Sun May-12-19 05:04 PM
2695956, Dame made numerous big defensive plays in the second half...
Posted by BSharp, Mon May-13-19 07:48 AM
... and made 2 big threes in the 4th. Great game from Dame, despite the poor shooting.
2695853, Duck Sauce!
Posted by ThaTruth, Sun May-12-19 05:11 PM
2695854, Well, at least Denver can drown their sorrows in legal weed n shrooms.
Posted by PROMO, Sun May-12-19 05:13 PM
2695855, really ugly 4th quarter in a game 7 for Joker
Posted by Vex_id, Sun May-12-19 05:17 PM
He needs redemption after that.

-->
2695864, certainly a test of character...
Posted by CyrenYoung, Sun May-12-19 05:39 PM
..He has all the tools.

This series should be a solid lesson for him.

*skatin' the rings of saturn*

..and miles to go before i sleep...
2695856, RBO's boy sure didn't show up today.
Posted by PROMO, Sun May-12-19 05:19 PM
2695858, Great series. CJ took over. And the bricked free throws.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Sun May-12-19 05:21 PM
And the Nuggets couldn’t hit 3s there damn self.
2695861, Murray needed a McCollum today
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun May-12-19 05:26 PM
2695957, He's certainly capable.
Posted by BSharp, Mon May-13-19 07:48 AM
Great series.

2695870, L. I blame Murray, Millsap, and everybody, I guess
Posted by khn, Sun May-12-19 06:28 PM
If your 2nd and 3rd best players take 32 shots and hit less than a quarter of them, you lose. Beyond that, the 3's and FT's; the bench production... ugh. Just about everything not related to #15, who was average by his standards. This one hurts.

Credit to Portland though.
2695926, cj is still so underrrated.
Posted by Reeq, Sun May-12-19 09:04 PM
dude is constantly improving his ability to get his shot off.
2695941, Tough loss. Didn't get to watch it was working without my phone
Posted by josephmurf2384, Sun May-12-19 10:30 PM
Heard they were up 31-19 and got to where i could see a TV for the last 11 seconds. Props to the Blazers. Stotts, McCollum, Lillard and the entire squad really manned up. When Nurkic went down i thought this series would be cake and it was not. Denver started most games hot but then reverted to chucking the entire series and lost leads by being cold. Can't wait until next year for this squad when you add in MPJ. Great year for a young team and lots to build on moving forward to be in contention for years.
2695942, Yeah... it was a great season and run though. Til next year.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Sun May-12-19 11:02 PM
2695955, Now can the bullshit stop about Dame and CJ being poor defenders?
Posted by BSharp, Mon May-13-19 07:46 AM
A bunch of non-basketball-watchers have preached the same bullshit about how terrible Dame and CJ are on defense, which hasn't been true for about 3 years.

Put some respect on these guys' all-around games.
2695966, they're decent, bigger guards can still have their way with them
Posted by ThaTruth, Mon May-13-19 08:36 AM
2696077, You got any examples of this?
Posted by BSharp, Mon May-13-19 07:45 PM
"have their way"

Which guards in the NBA can, for example, "have their way" with CJ McCollum? I really wanna know.
2695981, CJ made me a believer in this series
Posted by Dr Claw, Mon May-13-19 09:25 AM
one day I hope to see Collin making people this level of mad
