Whenever a visiting athlete says "Boston fans were yelling racist shit at me" 90% of the fanbase has a kneejerk reaction like "nah uh! someone woulda repohted it if they heahd the N-wohhd!" It's so fucking annoying, not to mention it very naively ignores the history of the city.

They apparently complained and asked for a refund because of this guy's behavior and things he was saying, and they handed him a yellow card or some crap but that's it.

Fans say shit that is way over the line all the time. The players absolutely *can* hear us in most sports and most venues, especially if you're decently close to the playing surface. I have zero issue with what Russ said to the guy and I don't even care what specifically the guy was saying to Russ. That said, the goals of these asshole fans are to one, get recognized, and two, throw you off your game in some way. Check and check. The best thing Russ could have done is acted like this asshole didn't exist and then drop 50 on Ricky Rubio's head. But I get why he responded and I don't blame him.

he ended up with 23/11/8. One play, toward the end of the game, he blocked Gobert twice on the same possession. Later, he pulled up for a 26 foot "fuck you" three and on the following play, crossed Royce at the key and drove in for a layup to put the game out of reach.
