2688684, Weekend Soccer 02.23-24: Bailly Felicia

No need to rev up the PL hype machine to say that this Sunday's ManU-Pool is as big as they come. Liverpool need to keep a gap with City, while United get their second test of the OGS would-be era, after faltering against PSG. Virgil Van Dijk should be back for the Reds, which should send Fabinho back up to the midfield, where Henderson played well against Bayern but has at times this season lacked the kind of dynamism shown by the Brazilian.

EPL
22.02.19 2:45 Cardiff - Watford
22.02.19 2:45 West Ham - Fulham
23.02.19 07:30 Burnley - Tottenham
23.02.19 10:00 Bournemouth - Wolves
23.02.19 10:00 Newcastle - Huddersfield
23.02.19 12:30 Leicester - Crystal Palace
24.02.19 07:00 Pst Chelsea - Brighton
24.02.19 09:05 Arsenal - Southampton
24.02.19 09:05 Manchester United - Liverpool
2688708, two shitty EPL games today
Posted by benny, Fri Feb-22-19 01:02 PM
2688731, i remember when the @Spurs game was "OGS first test"
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Fri Feb-22-19 02:12 PM
i guess it only counts as a test if we lose.
2688743, eh, it's just shitty writing (you get what you pay for n/m)
Posted by benny, Fri Feb-22-19 02:44 PM
I feel like the discussion about him being permanently named seemed to have ramped up this month, which is what I meant by would-be era. But whatever, this is a big test
2688813, Spurs-Burnley. "Eh," I thought. "Won't bother watching that."
Posted by Buck, Sat Feb-23-19 10:53 AM
The hell happened?
2688817, the shells self-jinx happened

2689198, uh oh lol
Posted by cgonz00cc, Wed Feb-27-19 07:34 PM
2688864, Complete disaster of a first 25 minutes.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun Feb-24-19 09:32 AM
Never seen any team get injuries at that sort of clip
2688867, Firmino off now too. Is something up with the pitch?
Posted by Buck, Sun Feb-24-19 09:38 AM
2688870, United's not gonna finish with 11 men.
Posted by Buck, Sun Feb-24-19 09:51 AM
2688879, Has to be. That was absolutely bizarre
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun Feb-24-19 12:00 PM
2688873, well that was kinda lame
Posted by benny, Sun Feb-24-19 10:59 AM
2688875, two things:
Posted by Bridgetown, Sun Feb-24-19 11:13 AM
1) they just have very good defenses. the defense was on it way more than the strikeforce today. but you feel like if pool don’t take the trophy this year, they’ll be kicking themselves even harder than back in the suarez days.

2) this might be my first sports post in a decade. go chelsea.*

*(meh)
2688876, i was super impressed with MU back line
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sun Feb-24-19 11:21 AM
last time i saw them Shaw looked a lil shaky, and to do it without Herrera's help...not too shabby
2688878, Shaw was perfect.
Posted by smutsboy, Sun Feb-24-19 11:57 AM
Yet another missed opportunity by Pool. Simply needed some brilliance to get a single goal and the win, never got it.

2688882, if pool do win this year, i kind of put it down to van dijk
Posted by Bridgetown, Sun Feb-24-19 12:20 PM
i think he’s a rock for the scousers
2688930, he's been huge for them, no doubt.
Posted by dillinjah, Sun Feb-24-19 11:56 PM
>i think he’s a rock for the scousers
2688885, Kante dying for this
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun Feb-24-19 01:06 PM
Making last ditch tackles and being the first man in the box to receive passes lol
2688895, Brooo kepa is a wild boy. How do you waive off the manager like that
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun Feb-24-19 02:04 PM
2688909, chelsea are just unmanageable at this point
Posted by Bridgetown, Sun Feb-24-19 03:35 PM
i don’t know what the fuck is going on at this club.

but in my 20 years of following this sport, i ain’t ever heard of some shit like this. i frankly don’t even care if we’d won or lost the game at this point.
2688963, no public reprimand, no punishment, no fine
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Feb-25-19 04:16 PM
i mean even just as a show of the pecking order you think there'd be something. very strange
2688932, Had to watch that three times. Never ever seen that. Ever.
Posted by Castro, Mon Feb-25-19 02:10 AM
Not even in AAU.

If I am Sarri, we get back in the locker room and I tell Kepa to clean his shit out and go home.
2688914, If OGS didn't secure the job today then it was never gonna be his.
Posted by PROMO, Sun Feb-24-19 05:40 PM
He showed up for a soccer game and an episode of M.A.S.H. broke out.

he made a mild mistake putting Lingaard on, but it just shows how little faith he has in Alexis (and when Sanchez did go on he didn't do much).

the team is in shambles and he got the tactics right and he got the guys to go and fight for each other. shit, United had chances to actually win the game.

give dude the job.
2688945, He's done well no doubt
Posted by smutsboy, Mon Feb-25-19 11:41 AM
but man was that potentially an epic mistake putting Lingaard in at that point.

If MU had to finish with 10 men it would have been mostly his fault.

2688919, Kante should have scored, but gatdamn David Luiz is garbage.
Posted by Castro, Sun Feb-24-19 08:00 PM
2688924, i was very surprised Chelsea brought Luiz back.
Posted by PROMO, Sun Feb-24-19 10:10 PM
i mean, he had big struggles there his first go 'round.
2688960, luiz either gives you a 8/10 game or a 2/10 game
Posted by Bridgetown, Mon Feb-25-19 03:44 PM
no in-between. it's the most frustrating thing ever.
2689196, oh Sadio

2689293, that shit was soooooo pretty
Posted by Bridgetown, Thu Feb-28-19 03:26 PM
2689257, What happened to those Madrid fans?
Posted by Hitokiri, Thu Feb-28-19 10:37 AM
Are they Juve fans now?

See ya'll again on Saturday.
Lol
2689292, I fucking hate Chelsea so much
Posted by Bridgetown, Thu Feb-28-19 03:26 PM
Note: I'm a Chelsea supporter

Good game against Spurs.

Can't wait for that next 7-0 loss to Brighton or some shit...
