Like I said, initial contract aside, there isn't a lot of downside for taking a run at the NFL now. He keeps that As money, he is an As "asset" for the next seven or eight years and will never know which direction he should/could have gone. I imagine he'll figure out if he has a future in the NFL well within time to go back to the As; he won't have that bonus, but he will still be paid commiserate with his draft position.
