In the comments there someone says "a hop step counts as two steps" but there is no "hop step" there and if there were it would be four steps, uh, I guess. He takes two steps and goes up into his shot. That is not a travel.

IMO the most common form of traveling in the NBA is the "cheat step" that players use to shuffle into triple threat position. They come hard to meet the ball and then take a step before the dribble or square up to get into triple threat position. Some guys are so good at it that it looks like a travel when it's not, but most get the benefit of that doubt.
