2681071, PG with 47/15/4....
Posted by Dstl1, Wed Dec-05-18 10:24 PM
on 55% shooting, 25 in the 4th quarter, 6 threes...including the game winning three. Not quite as good as B.I., but who is? Oh... Russ chipped in with 21/17/15...and the assist to PG for the dagger. Now 91-17 when he has a triple double.
2681082, *rolls eyes*

"But whatever the reason, there’s no denying that this is a new Westbrook. His usage rate — the percentage of possessions he ends with a shot, turnover, or drawn foul — has dropped from 32.5 percent last year to 29.4 percent this season, is lowest since his second season. Yet, he’s still averaging a triple-double. He has also gone from shooting 21.1 times a game to 18.6, which is fewer than George at 19.5.

George’s usage rate, in turn, has jumped from 24.7 to 27.6 percent. Anthony’s departure accounts for some of that increase, but it couldn’t have happened if Westbrook also didn’t feel comfort in letting George take more control of the offense.

The result is that George is having his best year ever. Coming into the game against the Kings, he was averaging nearly 25 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals per game, all career highs. He was nearly flawless against the Kings, with 43 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists in the victory. He took three shots before Westbrook took his first, and when Westbrook seemed on the verge of a meltdown after a few bad shots, a technical foul, and an offensive foul for pushing De’Aaron Fox, it was George — not Westbrook — who took control of the situation and calmed him and the Thunder down."

regardless of how mad people were that Lord NyQuil stayed in OKC (and they were mad), we can see that maybe OKC was the place he needed to be if he had to leave Indiana.
2682359, in the Brooklyn game...

when PG scored 25 in the 4th quarter...Russ took TWO SHOTS in the entire 4th...but made the assist to Paul for the game-winning 3. These dudes like each other...they are actual friends. I kept trying to tell people the whole season, when niggas already had his Lakers jersey sewn. Russ said all along he doesn't care how many points he scores...he wants to fucking win. We now have a team where Russ can go to the bench and we keep the lead...or even add to it. They are both happy with the ebb and flow...PG said he doesn't want the ball in his hands...Russ should have it, but...Russ knows when to get it to him and keep getting it to him. Paul can just float around and be a matchup problem for teams. He's not as explosive as he was before the leg, but he's a better player, without a doubt...AND most importantly, he has rubbed off on Russ where defense is concerned. Russ no longer dies on screens, he fights through them. He leads the league in steals...and STILL is averaging a triple double even though he's just getting his legs back due to the knee surgery and the ankle sprain.
2682361, Only watched 1 game this season but their D was impressive
