2680376, No Kareem Hunt video post?

These dudes need to step their game up.

Did he already get suspended over this?

Posted by smutsboy, Fri Nov-30-18 04:35 PM
"“The team’s made up of a bunch of young men,” Clark Hunt said via the Kansas City Star. “They’re not always going to make the best decisions, but we have a strong support system, both with the coaching staff and also with our player development department that works with young guys and talks to them about the situations that they want to be in.

“Kareem is a young man, second year in the league, obviously had a very big year on the field last year. I’m sure he learned some lessons this offseason and hopefully won’t be in those kind of situations in the future.”"

Sounds like dude was taking the right step in kicking under age girls out of the room, and fumbled right before the goal line.

They were almost gone, then 'Kick, Push' - Lupe. Dummy.

2680385, Why did he kick her with the Ralphie Santa toe tap?

Maybe I'm becoming numb to these incidents, but this isn't the same league of Mixon or Ray Rice. They both could have and should have walked away.

2680396, The police came, saw this video, took statements, did nothing
Posted by B9, Fri Nov-30-18 06:40 PM
10 months later, TMZ buys an iPhone copy of the video and stirs this up into an outrage. I have, sadly, seen far worse cross-gender physical altercations in multiple bars. Not saying he was justified, but this is firmly in the mole hill category.
2680402, Well if you've seen worse
Posted by smutsboy, Fri Nov-30-18 07:26 PM
then there's certainly no way a legal case could be made here.

My bad.

I mean, there definitely isn't a track record of prosecutors choosing not to pursue charges against a famous person, especially when accused of assault. Especially assault of a woman.

The US justice system is nothing if not fair to all people, regardless of power or wealth.

2680408, The police didn’t charge. The victim didn’t press civil or criminal.
Posted by B9, Fri Nov-30-18 07:54 PM
This video is a bit of a shrug of (likely) drunken children being drunken children. There are worse things to get outraged over.
2680424, Prosecutors chose not to pursue, not police.
Posted by smutsboy, Fri Nov-30-18 10:13 PM
My original point stands.

The track record of fairness by prosecutors in this country is, um, murky at best, but by all means, if you have faith in the US justice system, go for it.

>There are worse things to get outraged over.

Always a winning point.
2680504, Right, the police are never known for fucking anything up
Posted by pretentious username, Sat Dec-01-18 03:44 PM
When we're talking about shootings and traffic stops we all know how bad the police can be, but when it's domestic abuse, sexual assault, etc. all of a sudden this board thinks they're perfect. Incredible.

2680822, oh so you've given up on the "I don't want to engage" lie?
Posted by Rjcc, Tue Dec-04-18 12:31 AM
It's pretty simple man - your opinion i uneducated and unasked for.

and after you were proven wrong, you decided to lie and blame someone having "rage" towards you as the real problem with your shitty assessment to take attention away from the silly shit you said.

and then you lied about not wanting to engage because that's just a habit for you.

www.engadgethd.com - the other stuff i'm looking at
2680864, Sure.
Posted by B9, Tue Dec-04-18 10:12 AM
I'll give up not engaging because, at this point, the only thing I want made clear here is that whatever it is you think you are getting out of tough-typing as a damn-near (if not over) 40 year old is in servitude of something that will never be fully met, at least by me. But here goes.

Like I've said before: I watched the video and read one half-formed article about the situation on Friday of last week and wrote what I wrote above and after; the USA Today article mentioned the Cleveland police and the team investigated and took no action, nothing more. In hindsight and with the subsequent information about those investigations, I'm still not going to really change my knee-jerk opinion of what actually happened in that video: they both look not good in the situation and it is in no way near as violent as other domestic assault situations that have occurred recently. And that is slightly tinged by the stories about what all transpired before and during the incident. And all that is "nuance", which I think you struggle with in your rush to confrontation and judgement.

But if you're still ready to burn Hunt at the stake for that and will never forgive that transgression, fine, that is your opinion. I'm not going to personally attack you for it, like you seem so keen to do all too quickly any time someone has a different opinion to yours about even the most asinine subject.
2680935, seems like you're still busy lying about what people said.
Posted by Rjcc, Tue Dec-04-18 05:53 PM
who advocated for burning anyone at any stake you shiteater?

so when you can tell the truth, try again.

thank you for not pretending that you don't want to engage though, that shit was just embarrassing for everyone?

"@CLEpolice spokesperson tells @usatodaysports that nobody in the department – including the officers who responded to the Kareem Hunt incident on Feb. 10 – watched the surveillance video before TMZ posted it on Friday."

"“Cleveland police spokesperson Jennifer Ciaccia told USA TODAY Sports in an email Saturday that while the police reports noted surveillance footage of the incident existed, "detectives only follow up on felonies. This is a misdemeanor.""

This wasn’t going away for the Chiefs. If they had went to the super bowl that video would be played every week. Now people are bringing up Tyreek Hill’s DV issues. People are already going back to Jovan Belcher saying this is a “pattern” among Chiefs players.

the NFL and the Ravens has seen the Ray Rice tape and suspended him 2 games. After the tape went public and the subsequent outcry they decided to suspend him AGAIN indefinitely for the same incident.

With Kareem Hunt, supposedly the NFL and the Chiefs hadn't seen the tape and when the Chiefs officials questioned Hunt about the incident and he LIED about it.

Anger management is a serious thing.

How can you be fighting people for this long to get at someone you really don't even know like that. Whatever, they said, at some point you have to get ahold of yourself.

I guess easier said than done but I really pity anyone with anger management issues. I have to have serious history with you, or you have to lay hands on my family for me to be this determined to whip your ass.

This girl and her friend are clearly just as fucking dumb because why are you still there?

Just watching this gives me flashbacks to every high school party ever, which is a bad look for Kareem Hunt who is s'posed to be a grown man.

his "friends" are trash too, as a pro athlete you need to surround yourself with people that are not going to let things get to that point in the first place.

2680515, Kareem Hunt is how old?
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Dec-01-18 06:20 PM
It’s not uncommon for 19 year olds to be at a hotel party with 23 year olds.

The real problem is this was on tape.

I know folks are saying he shouldn’t have done this that and a third and it’s all true but by NFL standards this is lightweight.

Timing is everything tho.

and FOH at KC acting like they never saw this tape. These dudes have PI’s and shit. They seen it, they just hoped it wouldn’t get out.

right and they're already taking heat for drafting Tyreek Hill a couple of years ago with DV issues and people are bringing up Jovan Belcher and saying its an organizational issue. They had no choice but to cut him.

Fully grown women literally throw themselves at you at every bar and club you go to. They're waiting for you at the hotel after the games. Those dudes don't have cruise college parties to get laid.

And yeah you have to be careful about most of them too but still they are most likely more emotionally stable than a 19 year-old.

Posted by High Society, Sat Dec-01-18 08:15 PM
could he start serving the suspension?

lets say it's a 6 game suspension...
(which it shouldn't be anyway, if the 6 games is for domestic violence. This was a case of simple battery, a misdemeanor. I would think 4 games, tops.)

Only have to sit out first 2 games of next year?
If only 4 games, he's starting for your team game 1 next year.

Obviously, it won't play out like that exactly, but he's playing next year and he's playing in 3/4s of the games if not more imo.

He's a great player. This type of talent doesn't just become
essentially an unrestricted Free Agent.

Does he need to be punished for his actions? Absolutely.
Suspended? Stripped of pay? Anger management classes?
Give money to organizations that help women who've suffered from assault and battery? all of that.

But guarantee you every GM has showed this to team owner
and said, let's go get him!

He didn't kick anyone in the head.

The kick is actually whatever to me, a foot shove. By then his anger has- for what it's worth- significantly abated. But you can see during the rest of it that he probably would have actually hurt her if he could have gotten away from his friends.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25431829/kareem-hunt-former-kansas-city-chiefs-running-back-says-was-wrong-february-incident

Kareem Hunt says he was 'in the wrong' for shoving, kicking woman

Kareem Hunt admitted he was "in the wrong" during an incident in which he shoved and kicked a woman in the hallway at his Cleveland residence.

"It was just a long night," Hunt told ESPN's Lisa Salters of what happened in February. "To be exact, it don't really matter what happened. I was in the wrong. I could have took responsibility and made the right decision to find a way to de-escalate the situation."

Hunt apologized to the woman in the video, the Chiefs organization and his family.

Hunt said if he got the chance to speak to the woman in the video again he would say, "I am sorry for my actions that night."

Multiple league executives believe that former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt will not be claimed on waivers Monday and will become an unrestricted free agent.

Sources: Hunt, woman not interviewed by NFL
The NFL did not interview Kareem Hunt or the woman he shoved and kicked when the league investigated the February incident.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced they were cutting Hunt on Friday, after the video of the incident was published by TMZ. In the video, Hunt and the woman trade words in a hallway and are separated by several people on multiple occasions. Hunt pushes the woman, who responds by hitting him in the face. Two men escort Hunt down a hallway before he charges out, colliding with a man who then knocks the woman over. Hunt also kicks the woman in the leg.

The Chiefs said Hunt was not truthful in his discussions with the team about what happened, leading to the decision to move on from him.

Hunt confirmed that.

"I didn't tell them everything," Hunt said. "I don't blame them for anything. My actions caused this."

After the video was released and shortly before the Chiefs' announcement, Hunt was placed on the commissioner's exempt list by the NFL.

"The Chiefs did what was right," Hunt said.

"To be exact, it don't really matter what happened," Kareem Hunt said. "I was in the wrong." Scott Winters/Icon Sportswire
Hunt said the NFL never questioned him about the incident or asked him to talk about it.

Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen that the NFL did not interview the woman in its investigation.

The league did reach out to the woman and her friend on multiple occasions, but they did not respond, officials said.

ESPN attempted to reach out to the woman for comment but was unsuccessful.

The situation has drawn comparisons to Ray Rice's February 2014 punch of his then-fiancée. Rice, a former Baltimore Ravens running back, never played in the NFL again after video of the assault was released by TMZ.

For his part, Rice told NFL Network on Saturday that we would be willing to speak with Hunt to discuss what happened and how to move forward.

"Peer-to-peer, I would definitely try to help him figure out, 'How can we start dealing with the underlying problems in your life?'" Rice said. "Because he has a long life to live, this will be a defining moment, but it shouldn't be the moment that defines you. For me, I just see you have a long life to live and that doesn't mean just playing football. You need to just live one day at a time."

Hunt said he hopes to get another chance in the NFL but that he doesn't know if it will happen.

"I've worked for this my whole entire life," he told Salters. "I gave everything and sacrificed so much for this. ... I'll do whatever I can to help win.

"That's not me. That's not the person I am. It's out there. It happened. I'm very embarrassed about it. I'm ashamed of myself."

Allegedly:

KH is hanging out with women in his home and notices something off about the young woman.
He kicks out the 19 year old
She proceeds to bang on his door and call him nigga with the hard r for 30 minutes
People call the cops
KH comes out, the woman punches him in the face, assaults someone else, and keeps calling KH an n word.
He gets mad and shoves her, pushes his friends back, and kicks her shoe.
Cops come take statements and do nothing because this a big fat nothingburger.
No one hit the woman, kicked her, none of that shit.

Why is he in trouble? His biggest crime is hanging out with a young white woman in Cleveland. If an NFL player hit a woman, kicked a woman, best believe Cleveland police wouldn't let that one go... AT ALL. The woman was not hit by anyone.

Her story don't add up either...

That heavily edited TMZ video doesn't contradict anything I wrote. If anything it helps my point:

He in his home.
She outside spouting all types of nigga with the hard r. Release the full tape with audio please...
He walks outside to speak to the police before she claims the black thugs all tried to rape her and wind up getting killed by the police.
She trespasses and assaults him.
She assaults his friends.
She out here scrapping with grown men for no justifiable reason.
Kareem exercises self defense and shoves her.
She keeps advancing forward exercising her right to violence.
He kicked at her shoe. If an NFL player as swole as him kicked her she'd fracture something.
Notice she moved back quick as shit and fell over mysteriously crying in all this fake pain after attempt to further the conflict in his abode ain't work out.

Kareem Hunt does not need to apologize to this woman or her friends. The woman is wrong, trespassed, committed multiple assaults, and terroristic threats. He needs to sue her for false defamation when her inevitable media tour begins.

People want his career to end, for him to spend two years out of the league, for him to lose all his sponsorships, end his life, and be broke so it fits their black men narrative.

Bottom line is she's lying and no one is talking about it. She was not brutalized at all. She didn't get hit by anyone. Hate to be petty but I've seen black women get legit fucked up this year far worse than anything on this video and nothing happens yet I'm supposed to crusade against Kareem Hunt in this instance. Some of yall should be ashamed of yourselves for jumping to conclusions. I could be wrong and if I'm wrong will openly admit it.
