Hot and cold player. There are games he looks like a second rounder, and others where he just does a lot of nothing. When it's going good he mixes quickness with power, jolting opponents with his punch and shooting into the backfield. He has a tough swim move that's his go-to, and wrecks a lot of run plays with penetration.

When none of that's working, he's in witness protection. His anchor isn't great, and his pads will rise as he tries to win laterally. Despite his size (6'4, 305) he also fails to be a real pass rush threat (only 7.5 career sacks in SEC play), so when he's not blowing up the running game he disappears.

His inconsistency and lack of full-time fit will limit him, but at least he has a higher ceiling than some.

+ Strong swim and rip moves to beat interior linemen and re-route running lanes
+ Has the power to stand up guards or centers, then throw them off
+ Gap-shooter who can make the splashy play

- Tore his ACL in both knees as an underclassman, so physical exams will be important and might omit him from several draft boards
- Not a reliable, snap-to-snap player
- Lacks the ability to string together pass rush moves and affect pocket
- Leverage issues in the running game
