Honestly I like him more than I thought I would. To me he was productive by default as a freshman, but once he got hurt and J.K. Dobbins stole his job, he's settled into a more fitting number-two role.

If you're a change-of-pace back at a major college program, what does that make you in the NFL? In a fight for third-string. As mentioned, I do like parts of his game: he has a solid little jump cut and a low, shoulders-forward style. He even slips out of tackles with his shiftiness. Good screen player as well.

He's a depth piece at a position of attrition. If he can run well that would really help him, since he's going to stay on a roster based off special teams.

+ Darting runner who can weave through first-level traffic
+ Compact build and slides away from most big hits

- Unproven in pass protection, which is a big thing for a rotational running back
- Missing the big-time burst to get through second level (can turn the corner on average defenses, but can suffocate against elite fronts)
- Not a pile-mover
