The long-term studies on players following a microdiscectomy shows they have a drop-off in year 1 and then return in year 2 to their pre-injury levels.
Denver has the front-court pieces to let him acclimate and return slowly, without the pressur and work-load of a lesser team.
The question with Porter is what is his pre-injury level in the first place?
