2650761, this pacers squad is *extremely* well coached.
Posted by dula dibiasi, Sun Apr-15-18 03:47 PM
they execute with precision. everybody knows their roles, stays in their lane. no dumb mistakes. they all hustle hard.

nate showing his ass.
2650764, Both these series are going deep, knew it coming in
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Sun Apr-15-18 03:50 PM
I had Bucks in 7 and Cavs in 7.

Cavs could still rally here, I'd take them on the second half line if nothing else. But Pacers are a tough matchup for them. More athletic.

Lance Stephenson still sucks though
2650766, man, I love Love

2650802, not mad at him... his role in the offense is more important..
Posted by LegacyNS, Sun Apr-15-18 08:00 PM
but when people talk about best player defense matters too...

2650787, Utah's the only upset I see in the first round.
Posted by Ryan M, Sun Apr-15-18 06:00 PM
2650789, Why? I'm honestly asking, too...
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Apr-15-18 06:04 PM
we won the season series 3-1. What do you see that makes you pick them to win?
2650793, Well, all 4 games happened before January, for one.
Posted by Ryan M, Sun Apr-15-18 06:09 PM
I think Utah have all the pieces to beat a very flawed OKC team. It's not going to be a blowout whatsoever - I mean, OKC has 2 superstars. But Gobert is going to win a game or two on his own.

I mean, shit I may be wrong but you can't look at the season series.
2650794, cool...just wondering

I think I like them better than Russ/KD
2650798, last year against Houston...
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Apr-15-18 07:17 PM
only one person other than Russ had at least 20 points in any game of the series. Taj had 20 in game 3. PG has 32 at the end of the 3rd quarter. I don't care how far we go or don't go...this year we have a CHANCE.
2650799, Billy coached a gem...rotations were on point

On offense and defense.

And the staff.
2650819, start with KAT. capela is destroying him.
Posted by dula dibiasi, Sun Apr-15-18 09:31 PM
2650821, Capela is more active, but their entire team defense is piss poor.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Sun Apr-15-18 09:38 PM
One pick and roll and it becomes undone. It's either their not switching and the driver gets a layup or they switch and Capela gets a dunk.

KAT has to play better though on defense though. And he can't play better on offense without the ball.
2650816, ugh, Rockets switching KAT got mismatches...
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Apr-15-18 09:29 PM
but hanging out at the three point line instead of punishing Harden or Tucker. C Webb about to lose his mind.
2650828, KAT needs to get more aggressive. Aggressive with the Rockets.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Sun Apr-15-18 10:07 PM
And aggressive with his own teammates.
2650829, yup.
Posted by dula dibiasi, Sun Apr-15-18 10:14 PM

Celtics/Bucks: I was at work during this game, fucking SADLY.

Pacers/Cavs: Only saw the second half, but the Pacers' defense was impressive. The Cavs broke it open at times but, man, that final score said 98-80 and that game looked every bit like a blowout the entire time I was watching it. Maybe the most fun part about it for me was I hadn't seen any Pacers games this year or paid super close attention to them so I got to constantly play the "is that...that guy?" game with them while Oladipo held court.

Jazz/Thunder: Sadly, wound up taking a nap during this game while the Jazz were whupping ass, woke up to PG's 6th 3 and drifted in and out of another nap throughout. The Thunder are the most interesting team in the league to me, so I wish I had had the energy for this game.

Rockets/Wolves: WHAT THE FUCK. I don't think the rest of this series will look anything like this game. I don't think it'll be close, I don't think KAT will get as few looks as he did, I don't think the score will ever be as close as it was today, I'm not even confident the Wolves will have another lead in this series. But, for one night only, what an enjoyably frustrating game. Wiggins is so good-bad it hurts. KAT is so deferential it hurts. Butler took such a bad not-so game-winning shot it hurt. Harden is painfully good and the Wolves defense was painfully committed to letting him just do his thing in the second half.
