Jay had nothing to do with it. It was an eligibility issue, IIRC.

enjoy europe/d-league. coulda been a contender next year. doesn't have the athleticism, but that shot and overall offensive game is awesome.

He could use another year or two and his family isn't hurting for money.

That'd be difficult to replicate, tbh. Combine that with his good positional size, he'll get drafted, and while Givony has him mid-second, I've seen a number of places that have him mid-first. Odds are he'll be somewhere in the middle-- would love to see the Celtics or Warriors give him a look end of first.

He just doesn't have too much to gain by coming back. If he shoots, say, 38% instead of 40% from 3 next year, it'd hurt his stock.
