That's a tale of two halves. RBR really wasn't going to be a serious contender with that Renault engine, regardless of how good the aero setup was. And Ferrari was nip and tuck with Mercedes up until Germany, which proved to be a gap too far. After the summer break it was a wrap, but they weren't THAT far off speed wise. Next year, Tifosi faithful...

Can't call what's going on with either team. Especially Williams. How they made a Mercedes PU look so slow is beyond me

Had they not had the tire issues the first race, they would have had a shot. They're still trending up, which is a good sign
