It's hard to say whether or not Hamilton turned down the engine and just settled for 2nd once he botched his chance at an overtake after the safety car restart and couldn't really mount a challenge after the tire change, but they were clearly having tire degradation problems (which Vettel was not) and didn't seem to have the power that Ferrari did. It almost would have been better for him to have let Vettel ahead on the first corner and then slingshot around him after Eau Rouge like Vettel did. They have less than a week to get something sorted out or get curb stomped at Monza. I'm sure the Ferrari faithful will love that.

With Singapore after that, Lewis' lead could be down to single digits
