They have the onboard of Bottas chasing Vettel down the last 2 laps. That rear end was a sneeze away from breaking loose. If Vettel wasn't a vet at this he surely would have went off. Like, if the drivers were reversed, I'm sure Vettel would have caught Bottas. But Mercedes didn't push sooner once it was clear Vettel wasn't going to pit.

I get there's a plan for managing the various parts of the car and formulas and deltas that have been worked over, but sometimes you have to trust your gut and just get the hammer down. Bottas could have caught him, and Hamilton possibly could have tussled for 2nd. But it was not to be. Vettel was quite fortunate to win both races so far. We'll see how the next 19 go
