And even when you talk about his playing career, you have to ignore the repeated incidents where he's undermined his teammates and coaches.

No doubt he was a supremely talented player who understands the X's and O's, has a feel for the flow of the game and maximized his talent on the court to be a hall of fame player.

He was still a repeated dick to those around him and that aspect of him has carried on into his coaching career and is likely limiting his career.

Cmon man, these players very rarely own up to disliking their coaches in the media. They don't want that "coach killer" label.

I mean, I believe Giannis' relationship was genuine because of how far he went to try to save Kidd but Jabari's lukewarm statement well after the fact reads like PR.

Is he Giannis's personal coach or the coach of the Bucks? Because while Giannis has been improving, the team has remained around .500 with a foot in and out of the playoffs despite their growing pool fo talent.

So it's great the he helped Giannis improve but that isn't his only job.

Every coach deals with issues like injuries that are outside of their control.. building strong relationships with the front office and their players helps them weather those issues.
