My lingering impression of him over the years is of him being a bit of an asshole but I had to refresh myself on his track record.

not saying he's singularly the worst person in the NBA or even, objectively, THAT bad (other than the alleged wife beating). But with all the little power plays he's participated in over his career, this whole situation reads more like karma than racism.
