2637372, I was wondering why there was a game on in the afternoon
Posted by 40thStreetBlack, Thu Jan-11-18 04:26 PM
this makes much more sense than playing NFL games in London.

2637399, IT gonna get his ass lit up deep in the playoffs

2637406, AND he’s 0 for 10! Y’all think Kang is missing the Kid?
Posted by ThaTruth, Thu Jan-11-18 09:25 PM
2637410, real talk.. their D is so bad it's not a lock they come out the East
Posted by LegacyNS, Thu Jan-11-18 10:07 PM
I know what happened last year but this team is old, slow and nonathletic. Without a MAJOR move they'll be the worst defensive team in the playoffs by far. A bad shooting night or two and they can get got..

2637413, Finally a TNT game I won’t mute - Greg Anthony on the call
Posted by LA2Philly, Thu Jan-11-18 10:49 PM
Him and Brent Barry are, by far, the most balanced announcers - insightful, detailed, and measured.

Love Isiah too on NBATv but obv he’s not announcing games
2637416, we’re a different team with Zo on the floor
Posted by ThaTruth, Thu Jan-11-18 11:15 PM
2637418, There’s mistakes & then there’s the bone-headed shit we do
Posted by LA2Philly, Thu Jan-11-18 11:52 PM
My goodness. This game should be a blowout and it’s a fucking 3 point lead
2637421, Who is this Forbes dude? Spurs always finding some random...
Posted by ThaTruth, Fri Jan-12-18 12:32 AM
light skin guards lol
2637422, BI been watching Kobe tapes lol
Posted by ThaTruth, Fri Jan-12-18 12:36 AM
2637423, If you over-layed turnovers with each team’s runs
Posted by LA2Philly, Fri Jan-12-18 12:51 AM
The r-squared would be as close to 1 as you’re gonna get for that scenario. It was basically a game of who’s gonna get their shit together and not turn the ball over in the 4th. Spurs had 5 turnovers in the last minutes, we got some much needed easy buckets to finish the game
2637424, This felt like a Lakers game. This looked like a Lakers team.
Posted by Cold Truth, Fri Jan-12-18 12:56 AM
-BI's offensive toolbox is DEEP. Truth was on point with the Kobe tape comment. I'm loving his trajectory. That kid range pull up is going to keep the entire floor open for him.

-Zo doesn't just fill up a stat sheet. He shows signs of becoming a disruptor on D without being a careless gambler. Also, this three game swing can be attributed to a few things.... but Zo's return is one of them.

I'm under no illusions. That wasn't a true blue Spurs squad. We made some dumbass mistakes. We're not out of the woods.

But the building blocks are clearly in place.
2637433, I like that the two of them (BI/Lonzo)
Posted by Dr Claw, Fri Jan-12-18 08:10 AM
are kind of like the Kobe/Rondo dream team we never got, but I always wished for
2637427, Spurs B team aside - BI and Lonzo are great.
Posted by Ryan M, Fri Jan-12-18 02:08 AM
2637430, Gotta be consistent to be considered as great.
Posted by Beezo, Fri Jan-12-18 07:51 AM
.
2637438, is any 19 and 20 year old consistent?
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Fri Jan-12-18 09:22 AM
2637447, Not most. But having one decent game a month isn’t great in my book.
Posted by Beezo, Fri Jan-12-18 10:44 AM
He’s average and ain’t nothing wrong with that.
2637442, + Hart is good, Kuz is very good
Posted by LA2Philly, Fri Jan-12-18 09:40 AM
Jesse Buss and co killing the game on their late 1st and 2nd rounders (JC, Nance, Zu, Hart, and Kuz).

Kuz is opening up his game right now and we’re seeing the vision and play-making that he showed at Utah. He had an extended talk on the court w RC Buford after the game, Spurs coveted him badly at the 29 spot (they also wanted Nance in his respective draft)

2637431, that fuckin trade is and forever will be bullshit.
Posted by Dr Claw, Fri Jan-12-18 08:05 AM
traded away a GOAT for what?
2637432, part 2: bshelly is 100% correct about the LeBron Tax
Posted by Dr Claw, Fri Jan-12-18 08:09 AM
he can get you to the Finals
but it's gonna cost you competent coaching and a competent front office

your team will always slump before the All-Star game
no matter how it is constructed

Miami was an exception, cuz Riley
they're actually a "good" mediocre team and they made the playoffs with old Wade and no Bosh and almost did it w/ Dollar Tree Wade (Waiters)

again: I hate that the fucking Celtics got enriched behind this bullshit

2637450, Hmm. Zo knocking down jumpers just like in college. Weird.
Posted by bignick, Fri Jan-12-18 10:51 AM
2637472, So odd
Posted by LA2Philly, Fri Jan-12-18 12:17 PM
41% from NBA range (I believe n=81) during his year at UCLA.

Omgz - look at his shot though!
2637474, let's calm down...he was just 1-7 the other day.
