2630471, Explain to me why Jerry Jones is wrong about Goodell please

Jerry is being publicly dragged by his fellow owners for digging his heels in firm on Roger Goodell. Now, Jerry is not without blame for being petty - he definitely leaked the Goodell salary request info and he probably coerced Papa John into blaming the anthem protests on poor pizza sales. (aside: How fuckin dumb is Papa John to step in that mess?)

There's also the Zeke Elliott suspension. Sure, Jerry is probably coming at this with some sour grape taste in his mouth too.

But...

Is Roger Goodell really worth 50 MILLION dollars per year? I read somewhere that Mark Parker of Nike - a company that does tens of Billions more in revenue than the NFL - makes 14 Million a year.

How is the NFL business on firmer ground since Roger Goodell came into power? I'll admit that moving round 1 of the draft to a Thursday night was ingenious. And, if the Rams really are laying the foundation for a good team that will endure for years, the LA move could pay huge dividends for the league as well.

But look at what else has happened under Goodell's watch. These are things that if I'm an owner would concern me immensely:

- watering down the product with Thursday night football

- a disciplinary system that is never articulately defined

- consistently flimsy responses to social issues rearing their head

- oh, and LOWER RATINGS

and these are just a few of the crucial bullet points.

Please explain to me how Jerry Jones is out of turn here. The game is WORSE and the league's public perception appears to be at an all-time low, so how is Jerry so baseless in his reservation to extend Goodell?
