2625342, A.P. to Arizona for a bag of _______ Posted by Dstl1, Tue Oct-10-17 10:57 AM
I was literally just about to make a post titled, "Sooooooo...A.P. really fell off that cliff, huh?" Maybe Peyton wasn't using him right??? Looking like desperate times in Zona.

2625343, I wouldn't say he fell off a cliff Posted by smutsboy, Tue Oct-10-17 11:03 AM
at least not more than any other RB.
He's 32 and has had multiple knee injuries.
It was always very unlikely he was going to turn back time. Same for Marshawn.
They're two of the most incredible runners of their generation, defying physical odds. But still.

2625344, damn he washed now. i still cant mentally accept that. Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Tue Oct-10-17 11:08 AM

2625346, in my head he's washed. but yeah, my instinct is that he's an MVP Posted by GOMEZ, Tue Oct-10-17 11:11 AM
my instinct is totally wrong, mostly based on the fact i haven't watched him play for like 3 years.

2626019, now i'm just confused. he looked vintage in AZ Posted by GOMEZ, Mon Oct-16-17 11:33 AM

2625349, He never had a chance of turning it around Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Tue Oct-10-17 11:22 AM
High usage, physical style, bad knees, etc. Frankly to me he lasted longer than it seemed like he would have.
|
2625362, he may be washed but do we really know? He's only had 27 carries spread... Posted by ThaTruth, Tue Oct-10-17 11:53 AM
out over 4 games.
The weird thing to me is the fact that the Saints brought him in, know what he is, and knowing what they like to do. Obviously AP is not going to change at this point in his career so if you don't plan on changing your offense to accommodate him why bring him in in the first place?
I still feel like he could be productive in the right situation.
|
2625368, agree...not sure how ppl are coming to the washed conclusion already Posted by Deebot, Tue Oct-10-17 12:42 PM
I would still take him on the Packers to see what he can do.

2625520, most folks think the top back Posted by tariqhu, Wed Oct-11-17 01:27 PM
would get more carries, which is typically how it works. but it doesn't always work that way. Bama's top back gets the least carries.
he never should have gone to NO. they've had the RB by committee thing for a while, so seems like his expectations to be the man were never gonna work out.
at least he'll get more carries in Zona. so we'll see if he's got something still.

2625370, The most pass happy team in the history of the league Posted by Musa, Tue Oct-10-17 01:02 PM
doesn't use AP how surprising.

2625556, correct Posted by will_5198, Wed Oct-11-17 10:09 PM
weird signing but he ended up there because nobody really wanted Peterson last off-season
Kamara is already a better fit
|
2625554, I dunno if AP is washed, but they cut Chris Johnson to bring him in Posted by Rjcc, Wed Oct-11-17 09:19 PM

2625966, yeah he tore my boys up, esp that first drive. Posted by dillinjah, Sun Oct-15-17 09:52 PM
on the other hand, it def doesn't look like the Saints need him so, I guess it worked out for both parties.
|
2625991, I'm still trying to figure out why the Saints signed him in the 1st place... Posted by ThaTruth, Mon Oct-16-17 09:03 AM

2630142, Some N'awlins media guys were saying to a light a fire under Ingram Posted by DeepAztheRoot, Tue Nov-14-17 02:17 AM
with providing competition but I don't really believe it
Ingram been in the league for awhile, he's a solid back and he is what he is at this point
