2623229, Is Todd Gurley going to be another UGA RB bust?
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Sep-20-17 09:08 AM
Dude seems slow as shit.

I'm not up on the Rams OL but I seen huge holes and he struggled to get through them on a few plays.

2623232, naw, man...that muthafucka is cold...
Posted by Dstl1, Wed Sep-20-17 09:23 AM
he's strong as a bull, has breakaway speed and hurdles grown men on the regular. I watched dude say goodbye to cats after breaking through the line his rookie year. Rams just ain't shit.
2623239, I watched some of the Redskins game and while he did hurdle a player
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Sep-20-17 10:03 AM
and he IS strong as fuck..

it just looked like he left a lot of yards on the field because he didn't have that burst.

I'll peep him on Thursday. I love watching bruising RB's but it felt like I have seen this before with other great SEC RB's. Great in college but average in the NFL.

2623236, if he is its because the rams are trash
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Sep-20-17 09:43 AM
2623244, did you get to see him while he played in NC?
Posted by Mr. ManC, Wed Sep-20-17 10:15 AM
I went to my high school's state championship in like 2010 I think, and they played against him and Tarboro. He single handedly won that game for them.

If the Rams had a better line I think he'd be top 5 today. He's legit, even after the leg injury.
2623267, I never saw him play but the word of mouth on his exploits was strong.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Sep-20-17 11:50 AM
2623254, he'd be a lot better
Posted by tariqhu, Wed Sep-20-17 11:06 AM
if he had that dallas Oline.
2623301, there is no part of Todd Gurley even associated with bust
Posted by tomjohn29, Wed Sep-20-17 05:33 PM
stop this right now
and thats coming from a Clemson fan
and considering all the injuries SEC rbs suffer in college...its a wonder they make it to the league
and who are all these SEC rbs bust you talking bout
only one i can think of is Richardson
2623303, Most, if not all, of Bama's recent highly touted backs...
Posted by Creole, Wed Sep-20-17 06:53 PM

Lacy - On his way out the league because of weight.
Richardson - You already know.
Yeldon - Didn't give the Jags any pause to not grab another RB a year later and then lost said spot to the newer back.
Ingram - Only because he never became a legit #1 for the Saints who brought in old ass AP to challenge for the #1.

The jury is still out on Henry. Maybe he'll be the shining star amongst the most recent ones.
2623310, one bust on that list

late first round

2 round pick

2623311, 2nd rd picks in the NFL gotta hit tho
Posted by cgonz00cc, Wed Sep-20-17 10:15 PM
the first round isnt even long enough to fill out a 2 deep

2623312, hittin and being a bust are two different things
Posted by tomjohn29, Wed Sep-20-17 10:17 PM
richardson is the only bust on that list
2623323, nah.. a bust is more than flat out failing in the NFL
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Sep-21-17 08:57 AM
a bust is a high draft pick who doesn't come close to meeting expectations.

a 1st or 2nd round RB who doesn't ball out is a bust IMO.

RB is a plug and play position.
2623322, Tim Worley, Cadillac Williams, Knowshon Moreno
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Sep-21-17 08:53 AM
2623327, Knowshon didnt bust
Posted by cgonz00cc, Thu Sep-21-17 09:58 AM
he had 1000/10 for the AFC champ in 2013 and then retore an ACL

bad luck for sure, but no bust
2623329, Cadillac was injuries.
Posted by smutsboy, Thu Sep-21-17 10:26 AM
2623376, fam, cadillac was auburn. Plus dude was never the same after torn patella
Posted by dillinjah, Thu Sep-21-17 09:40 PM

Gurley is coming like the last great Los Angeles Ram Running back to wear #30...

Lawrence McCutcheon...

2623384, he looked good last night...
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Sep-22-17 07:19 AM
vs a terrible 49ers team.

2623398, you're crossing over into agenda territory
Posted by smutsboy, Fri Sep-22-17 10:16 AM
good luck with that.
2623402, lol, maybe...
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Sep-22-17 11:30 AM
2623399, lol...c'mon man...he's the real deal...
Posted by Dstl1, Fri Sep-22-17 10:23 AM
anyone who watched him his rookie season can see that. He was dynamite and the Rams' Oline was worse than it is now. I watched every game...went to 3 in person.
2623401, Todd was prolly the best thing Fisher and Snead did...
Posted by Dstl1, Fri Sep-22-17 11:19 AM
besides Aaron Donald, of course...but for those two, I raise you Greg Robinson, Adam Carriker and Tayvon Austin at 8, overall.
2623432, Greg Robinson singlehandedly took like 40 pen yds sunday
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Sep-23-17 10:02 AM
3x holding
2x false start

2623400, yet he plays on a bad team so that cancels all that out
Posted by tomjohn29, Fri Sep-22-17 10:33 AM
2623434, lol another uga rb bust?
Posted by decaturpsalm, Sat Sep-23-17 10:50 AM
name 3 busts in the last 3 yrs from ga ill wait
2623436, I count Crowell as a UGA guy and even he balls for the Browns...
Posted by Creole, Sat Sep-23-17 11:48 AM
The drafted Duke Johnson to take the position from Crowell. And three years in, it doesn't appear that it's happened yet.
2624395, lol
Posted by tomjohn29, Sun Oct-01-17 07:00 PM
2624397, safe to say Durant is a bust?

2627103, Every time this post is upped I'm reminded Jeff Fischer sucked
Posted by GOMEZ, Mon Oct-23-17 12:05 PM
Gurley got shit for saying they were running a high school offense, but umm...

Jeff Fischer was and is the worst.
2627104, yep...fuck Jeff Fisher
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Oct-23-17 12:23 PM
.
2634350, He did but they also didn't have ANY protection
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Mon Dec-18-17 02:06 PM
I don't GAF if you are a modern-day Vince Lombardi, if your guys can't block, no offense is going to work. The defense was pretty good.
2632692, 1500 total yards and 11 tds
Posted by tomjohn29, Mon Dec-04-17 01:42 PM
lol
2632693, and killin' it in FF for me!!

bust lol
2634349, He has to be No. 1 in the NFC MVP race now, right?
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Mon Dec-18-17 02:05 PM
Wentz injured. Seahawks sucking wind and Wilson hasn't has a good enough year to get on a team that misses the playoffs. Who else is standing in Gurley's way?

I liked him a lot last year but the Rams O-line was fah-king ter-rib-bulllllllll. This year he is lighting it up.
2634526, You could make the case for league MVP
Posted by josephmurf2384, Tue Dec-19-17 06:26 PM
It's either him or Brady right today.
2634945, 233 yards, 2 TDs so far today
Posted by smutsboy, Sun Dec-24-17 03:09 PM
2634953, 276 yds from scrimmage
Posted by smutsboy, Sun Dec-24-17 04:22 PM
2634952, lolz. this was the worst post of the year.

Fitting on Christmas eve.

Gurley's a beast.
2635038, also shows how dependent football players are
Posted by will_5198, Mon Dec-25-17 04:42 PM
on their teammates and coaches. Gurley has had NFL feature back talent since he was 18 years old, but that doesn't mean he's impervious to a horrible situation.

he didn't even make the preseason NFL Network's Top 100 list, as flawed as it is. and had someone posted that "Gurley is better than David Johnson" last June, they would've been torn apart here.
2635034, cant wait to see what he does in the playoffs.
