not a divorce, but i split with my girl who i'd been living with most of my 20's. all the annoying cliches people were telling me like, work on yourself, it's an opportunity to grow, etc. turned out to have some truth to them. i had a "fuck it, i'm doing this" moment and totally switched up careers
