2617274, yeah, that's a terrible nickname Posted by 40thStreetBlack, Mon Jul-10-17 04:00 PM
>I've been calling him Diet Coke Ginobili. Good player on a >good team, high IQ, can do it all, will make clutch plays for >good teams for years to come. I think by Year 3, something >like 15-4-4 is in play if SVG gives him serious tick. I'm >concerned about his immediate impact if they keep KCP, just >due to sharing minutes, but if he plays, I wouldn't be shocked >if he cracked double figures year one as a 20-year-old. >Otherwise, it'll be a waiting game... but I don't doubt him.
Ginobili was a GREAT player, incredible passer, superb athleticism, mad genius bball IQ (for good and ill). don't really see that much of a comparison besides being white lefty 2 guards.
>I'm just excited by his trajectory. He's got a Redickesque >work ethic and a more diverse skill set than Redick had. If he >keeps growing and improving like Redick did, then yeah. >Ginobili-lite impact. He's got a high floor and a high IQ. >Hard not to be excited as a fan when watching him play.
Redick is an elite NBA shooter. I know Kennard is a good shooter & has a broader skillset but he doesn't have an elite-level NBA skill.
