Ramun Ndur and Akim Aliu both played briefly in the NHL, they were both born in Nigeria but raised in Canada. Ndur's family moved to Ontario when he was pretty young. Aliu also left Nigeria young. He spent some time in Ukraine as a child. His father ran track there and that's where he met Akim's mother, a Ukrainian, then they moved to Canada.
