don't be gettin my Todd McShay on like that? I mean, I'd love for Dallas to take Bosa at 4, but that's with the assumption Robert would be long gone.

2532868, He will not be playing tackle (Robert) or DE exclusively (Bosa) Posted by tomjohn29, Mon Apr-18-16 04:57 PM
most teams are working him out at standup LB in a 3-4

2532875, I know. Just wanted to get on record saying he's gonna be a better pro than both of them Posted by guru0509, Mon Apr-18-16 05:26 PM

2532876, there's also 0% chance u don't have an agenda Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Apr-18-16 05:29 PM
otherwise you wouldn't be throwing around proclamations of such certainty in a field which is largely guesswork.
this reminds me of when bombastic came on here saying he would give up his first born if laurenaitis hung on a NFL roster for longer than a year...or something to that effect. it was a while ago so I don't remember the specifics but the points is this *so and so will never ever do shit* talk is just not smart.
but anyway, I'd be curious to hear an actual, well-thought out explanation as to why you have bosa evaluated lower..
Most of the "Bosa sucks" stuff has been hot n' fluffy twitter takes by people who never watched bosa play all that much, if at all.
it's kinda interesting how Bosa started out as a 5-star recruit but then was dropped in the rankings near signing day for no apparent reason. all he did was beast against the best competition in the country...similar to what he did at OSU, game in and game out. yet here we are again with people trying to drop him.
i have no proclamations but i wouldn't want to bet against bosa having a very successful NFL career.

2532877, Also this. Dude was fighting double teams ALL season. Posted by guru0509, Mon Apr-18-16 05:33 PM
Ndemkiches career pales in comparison. Not to mention, he played in a weak ass division in a weak conference.

2533148, Generally speaking, Nigerians are the master race Posted by Orbit_Established, Tue Apr-19-16 02:28 PM
Zero chance Nkemdiche can't sit down right now and pass a Calculus exam while squatting 600 lbs 119 times
This is why I have zero tolerance for ignorant Nigerians:
They have to TRY to be dumb.
Regular white people and black people don't have to try. We're dumb. We have to try to be smart.
Not Nigerians.
There's no reason he's falling out of windows and doing synthetic weed. Dude could be at Google right now.
When Nigerians pull it together, they are pretty much going to take everyone's job:
- Google will be all Indians and Nigerians - NBA gonna be all Euros, Nigerians, and light skinned niggas - NFL about to look like the Nigerian Rugby league - Ain't Jerome Iginla Nigerian? Hockey ain't safe - Soccer gonna be all spaniard looking dudes and Nigerians
I'm serious
No agenda, I don't even like Nigerians like that (don't hate them either, I'm indifferent). I'm just making a highly calculated statement based on universal facts

2631111, Iginla means "big tree" in Yoruba. Kyle Okposo is also of Nigerian descent Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Mon Nov-20-17 06:51 PM
Ramun Ndur and Akim Aliu both played briefly in the NHL, they were both born in Nigeria but raised in Canada. Ndur's family moved to Ontario when he was pretty young. Aliu also left Nigeria young. He spent some time in Ukraine as a child. His father ran track there and that's where he met Akim's mother, a Ukrainian, then they moved to Canada.

Bold. Not sure I agree, but I appreciate the audacity.
I'd like to agree with you because Bosa is a little overrated buuuuuuut...
1) Bosa plays hard at all times. Rob hasn't (which doesn't mean he can't or won't)
2) As an African, I'm biased, but can't be laying any bets on sketchy Nigerians. Sorry. For me to invest in Nigerian stocks, gotta be Olajuwon levels of respectability.
|
2532885, lol. what exactly is he risking here? Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Apr-18-16 06:37 PM

pre-trade i wouldn't have even hated a qb.
we have early second and third round picks for a running back.
that defense needs players now.

2532986, Nkemdiche is an overrated athlete Posted by will_5198, Mon Apr-18-16 11:50 PM
he's a really good one, but still just 6'3, 300 and not special enough athletically to be a NFL star until his technique gets way better. he was a lot better athlete than his college competition and didn't even dominate at that level.
plus I'm never a fan of admitted loafers. Bosa is going to be a 10-year pro.
|
2533013, Yep, he's a bitch like Clowney was Posted by DeepAztheRoot, Tue Apr-19-16 03:27 AM
draft early at your own risk, he has the athletic intangibles of a poor man's Suh but he's got the motor of Erick Dampier in a non-contract year
he's not gonna give you the effort
|
2533208, good comp. he flashes at times, but gets destroyed often Posted by rjc27, Tue Apr-19-16 08:24 PM

2533101, Mario Edwards surprising success last year has me up on Nkemdiche Posted by MothershipConnection, Tue Apr-19-16 11:23 AM
They actually have pretty much identical testing numbers with Nkem weighing about 15 pounds more. Both top recruits that were a bit disappointing in college. I think you play them in identical roles in the pros, out at end on run downs and slide them into DT on passing downs cause they'd get crushed as full time DTs, but the NFL is leaning towards versatile DLs these days. Don't think either are regular double digit sack guys but keep the expectations reasonable and put them on a team with another real pass rushing threat (like the Raiders with Mack) and that's way more valuable than a 320 pound DT that can't push the pocket at all.
Of course Nkemdiche has more risk that he'll do something ridiculous off field since he has a history of it before but he could be a good chess piece under the right coach.
|
2533175, yeah I wasn't big on Edwards either Posted by will_5198, Tue Apr-19-16 04:47 PM
athletic 300-pounder that did a lot of nothing for quarters at a time. Nkemdiche would be fine as the 57th pick, but is the premise here about him being a star, or Bosa being a bust?

went to look him up just now: he had one tackle this season? Arians calling him out as lazy in press conferences and making him a healthy scratch?
good thing (for him) he's only 22. maybe that light comes when he realizes the Cardinals only have to pay him until 2018.
