I just hope we keep the game close at some point besides the literal tipoff.

They'll keep it close tonight I think

2497358, Define close Posted by LA2Philly, Tue Nov-24-15 09:39 PM
Less than 20, give us a trophy.
|
2497360, I can easily see this being one of those "Kobe's Last Stand" games Posted by mrhood75, Tue Nov-24-15 09:54 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if he's on some "Uh uh, they're not breaking the record against ME! " shit and jacking up at least 23 shots. Now if he's hitting, then it's close. If not? Well...
|
2497362, here's your answer to that question Posted by justin_scott, Tue Nov-24-15 09:58 PM
There's been 774 individual seasons in which a player averaged 16 FGA. Kobe Bryant's 2015-16 TS% ranks 774th. Curry's '15-16 TS% ranks 1st.
|
2497363, So in sum: it won't be close Posted by LA2Philly, Tue Nov-24-15 09:58 PM
>Now if he's hitting, then it's close. If not? >Well...
|
2497364, I can't see that Posted by ShawndmeSlanted, Tue Nov-24-15 10:03 PM
If anything Kobe is the reason they ultimately lose after the young guys play well.
|
2497366, Kobe's last stand game happened like 2 or 3 years ago Posted by GOMEZ, Tue Nov-24-15 10:05 PM
he's washed, and it isn't happening.
|
2497367, Kobe jacking 23 shots = 6 for 23 and a 30 point loss Posted by DJR, Tue Nov-24-15 10:05 PM

2497416, Comoared to what he ended up doing, he would've killed for that Posted by mrhood75, Wed Nov-25-15 12:57 AM
|
2497497, SMH, he's gotta go Posted by DJR, Wed Nov-25-15 12:22 PM
He's one of the worst players in the league. Nobody wants to see Kobe struggle like this, and he's just in the way of their young players who are better than him.
Don't play him again until like April, let him get some farewell games in.
|
2497365, Less than 10 with a shot going in the 4th Posted by ShawndmeSlanted, Tue Nov-24-15 10:04 PM
Ultimately mistakes and Kobe gunning do them in

2497422, Are you related to Byron Scott or something? Posted by guru0509, Wed Nov-25-15 01:40 AM
|
2497452, No, but I believe in fairness. Black coaches don't get that. Posted by Orbit_Established, Wed Nov-25-15 09:42 AM
LA2Philly has definitely (and I have board proof of it) dissected and criticized Mike Brown and Byron Scott *waaay* more than he did Mike D'Antoni.
And he doesn't say shit about Chip Kelly, who has run his alleged favorite football team into the ground.
|
2497486, Wasn't gonna respond but now you're blatantly lying Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Nov-25-15 12:00 PM
For Mike Brown, D'Antoni, and Scott: I gave each of them a year and then when I saw the same exact decision-making issues after an off-season and summer camp, that's when the criticism began. I've been consistent with that for each of them, regardless of what their race is.
For Chip, I explicitly said in WEEK TWO, that his o-line decisions have doomed this team. The major difference in his situation is that I know he won't be fired for at least another year because of the full GM responsibilities Lurie has given him, that's in stark contrast to any of the Laker coaches.
My track record of consistency speaks for itself. Your track record of increasingly becoming an agenda and race trolling caricature also speaks for itself. Respond all you want to me, this is the last time I will address this or you. Peace.
|
2497590, LOL...threw it all away with that Chip Kelly line... Posted by Dstl1, Wed Nov-25-15 05:57 PM
he routinely lambastes Kelly in every game post.
|
2497419, I feel that until the Lakers get out from under this BS Posted by Dr Claw, Wed Nov-25-15 01:09 AM
we can't even really evaluate Russell. he doesn't even get to play, nor does he get to play -his- way.
this team is looking like the Cavs under the second tour of Mike Brown
|

2497397, Love how competitive Randle is Posted by LA2Philly, Tue Nov-24-15 11:43 PM
Sometimes gets him in trouble and he needs to channel that into his weak-side D as welll...but in general, kid steps up to challenges and that's the mentality you want to see.
|
2497403, O hey, here's an idea...let's put Kobe on the ball in PnR! Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Nov-25-15 12:07 AM
The fuck is this bs. Absolutely garbage possessions with Kobe trying to create on PnR.
|
2497404, Steph's fg % in the paint gotta be near the top of the nba Posted by Amritsar, Wed Nov-25-15 12:08 AM
3pt shot is what everybody marvels at
But Umm This dude does NOT miss when he gets to the bucket
Can probably count on my hand the misses
|
2497405, No joke, '15-16 Kobe is one of the worst players I've ever seen Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Nov-25-15 12:12 AM
Offensively it's obvious...but defensively, especially off the ball, he's arguably worse.

2497432, lol. What? Did your guy not lay into him with a shoulder? Posted by RandomFact, Wed Nov-25-15 04:33 AM
On some NFL shit? You should probably watch the entire thing instead of some shitty Vine that doesn't show the entire play.
Refs reviewed it and both got T'd up so your post is pretty laughable. Plumlee dide some bitch shit as well.
College fans can be the worst with this type of over-protective shit. We get it, the guy that went to your school is infallible, the other guy is just the absolute worst. Geesh.

2497479, As if the guy above didn't defend Butler's leg lock because he's a Bull. Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Nov-25-15 11:38 AM
Forgive me for being mildly defensive of a dude I *actually* went to college with.
|
2497484, oh you're far from the worst offender dude Posted by Amritsar, Wed Nov-25-15 11:56 AM
there are people here who can't objectively talk pro hoops without some stupid alumni agenda
shits dumb
|
2497487, I get that. I honestly do. Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Nov-25-15 12:01 PM
But it *does* go both ways for some fan allegiances. The Bulls certainly fall under that jurisdiction.
And I don't think my argument is entirely without merit. I thought Delly locking dude's legs was no bueno last playoffs, and I was certainly rooting for the Cavs in that series. I think that's about one of the worst, most dangerous things you can do on the court. It's just asking for a knee or ankle injury.
|
2497495, the worst offender on this board isnt even an alum of "his school" lol Posted by guru0509, Wed Nov-25-15 12:19 PM

2497476, Yeah, he did. A shoulder ain't gonna put you on IR. Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Nov-25-15 11:32 AM
Grabbing dude's leg like that is ten times more dangerous and you know it. FOH like that's some illogical shit.
|
2497445, RE: Jimmy Butler's a dirty motherfucker. Posted by murph71, Wed Nov-25-15 07:26 AM
FOH...lol
Even the homer Portland announcers said that their was blame on both sides, with most of the side eye given to Plum Dogg.....
That's why your boy got the flagrant one and The Mechanic got a tech.....
|
2497477, And Butler's the one who received a fine. Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Nov-25-15 11:36 AM
Tripping someone is far more dangerous than a hard shoulder, and everyone fucking knows it. People acting like I'm crazy for thinking the retaliation is way worse than the initiation can kick rocks.
|
2497491, Dangerous over-reaction by Butler Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Nov-25-15 12:08 PM
Plumlee isn't in the right either but shoulder checking doesn't deserve to be leg-locked....that's not an equal reaction. That being said, emotions overtook Butler and he made a mistake, it happens; one emotional reaction doesn't make you a dirty motherfucker, it means you made one mistake.

2497444, they need to let that team organically suck Posted by Dr Claw, Wed Nov-25-15 07:17 AM
instead of turning it into the thesis statement for anti-Kobe agendas. you can tank and still have hope (ironically, year 2 with Byron in Cleveland was this, because of Kyrie)

Not 20, 23, 26, 30, or 38. Seven of his shots were three pointers. As the season goes on I expect him to change the way he plays and adapt to team ball.
