Posted by guru0509, Mon Sep-07-15 06:06 PM
Naturally, they saved the best for last (I was underwhelmed watching your dusty below average lame squad this weekend tbh)

Urban suspended Joey Bosa (the best defensive player in CFB and top 5 pick), Jalin Marshall, H-back Dontre Wilson and wide receiver Corey Smith for skipping class/smoking weed.

DAT' TEGRITY.

All 4 of these guys are big time playmakers...should be interesting to see who steps up

RETURN OF THE XMAN..... the most electrifying player in CFB will be lining up at HB/WR & returning kicks/punts.

not so household names to watch for Curtis Samuel (Brooklyn in the house), Johnnie Dixon & Terry McLaurin.

the clavicle was from a missed blocking assignment on Monday Night Football against the Giants. He was out 6 weeks, IRCC

2474358, VTech's inside 3 on the d-line are doing a great job
Posted by LA2Philly, Mon Sep-07-15 09:30 PM
The nose is sitting right over the C and the other two are playing right over the guards...each of them engaging and not allowing OSU to shed blocks and engage the 2nd line, which is allowing a lot of clean angles defensively around the LoS.

probably the best player in college football

I feel validated
2474370, people's memory these days is wayyyyy too short
Posted by J_Stew, Mon Sep-07-15 09:43 PM
They would have EASILY won the NC with him last year. Those other 2 cats are good, real good, but nah, there is a gap in ability.
2474366, yoooooo braxton miller real as fuck!
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Sep-07-15 09:36 PM
2474368, Cotdamn. That was like the spin glitch from Madden '05
Posted by LA2Philly, Mon Sep-07-15 09:38 PM
Where a spin would not only occur at the same speed that the player was running but somehow make the player even faster.

That was sick
2474377, WELP! We looked a lot better (pre-injury) than I thought we would've
Posted by snacks, Mon Sep-07-15 09:50 PM
Good game, fam.

I'm honestly more worried about the rest of the season - if Brewer's out an extended period of time, we might not even beat Furman next week.
2474383, *salute* ....Brewer is a baller. Nuff' respect...very unfortunate injury.

2474384, he could play QB if he wanted but he's thinking in terms of NFL career

he's 100%
2474391, gotcha.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Sep-07-15 10:12 PM
2474397, we got like 3 or 4 dudes who can play that spot
Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Sep-07-15 10:17 PM
aint no worries in sending these dudes to the slaughterhouse, lol
2474401, none of them as good as Brax though

1. mike thomas
2. braxton

and then who ever else.

2474407, jalin, dontre, curtis samuel all play the H
Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Sep-07-15 11:21 PM
having Brax is a tremendous luxury but we did win a NC without him.

he's a 5th year senior auditioning for the NFL. how can you hold the guy back?
2474410, i was never really impressed by dontre wilson tbh.
Posted by guru0509, Mon Sep-07-15 11:29 PM
those lamichael james comparisons were way off.

curtis samuel is going to be a superstar very soon..

jalin too.

but braxton still *light years* better than all those guys

holy shit this season is going to be SOO fun

i wish radin were around to see this dominance.

2474696, i think he showed a lot of improvement last year before the injury
Posted by 3xKrazy, Tue Sep-08-15 04:03 PM
i wouldn't write him off yet. i think his biggest obstacle has been the knucklehead factor. and now with brax there's just not as many balls to go around.

ill still predict that he's going to play a solid role with the team this year. hell, zeke only got limited carries last night (partially due to VT scheme) but the point is you're not gonna have 1-2 guys shouldering the load and compiling stats (remember when the world ended because Beanie went down and were stuck with no offense? Or Pryor getting the boot and we were stuck with Bauserman?)

i think dontre can bring a lot of value as a bonafide return man and yet another person on the field that needs to be accounted for by the defense.

what did you think of Adolphus Washington's performance/NFL prospects?

I thought he looked terrific and will only look better with the return of Bosa
2474828, he's one of my favorites on that team
Posted by will_5198, Wed Sep-09-15 09:57 AM
he often gets better jumps than Bosa as a pass rusher (not to say he's a better pass rusher, just an athletic comparison) and is a bear to zone block on wide runs.

he does what Michael Bennett was reputed to do, but with more consistency, longer arms, passable run defense, and an actual understanding of how to get off blocks with his hands. he'll be a three-tech in the NFL and a good one.
2474399, love cardale

I will have to admit, I still can't believe Ohio State of all colleges is "Ground Zero" for what I want to see in Football but here we are

and they've already won one title, AND they beat an exalted SEC team to get there in a playoff

agendas are almost aligning in all sports
