And CP is maybe a LITTLE closer to winning a title than Wall, but it's also a decent chance he never wins one or even makes the finals.

As fans we've successfully adjusted our expectations of what we think an elite point guard should be, shifting from "should distribute the ball expertly" to "should somehow make his team substantially better." And I'm not at all opposed to that.

But with these new expectations comes an even greater emphasis being placed on winning. And if winning is the end all be all which, ya know, isn't a bad metric by which to gauge a star player's success, then Chris Paul is still falling short of expectations.
