obviously u can "build around" dudes like deron, cp3, harden, etc
if all u expect is to be competitive and lose in the 1st or 2nd round
the context of dudes statement was championship contender tho
only a handful of players basically guarantee that by themselves
bron and durant mainly
MAYBE rose or dwight because at least we've seen them carry role players to conf finals before (edit so did deron but i think ppl have moved on from placing him in that category)
