Is US soccer the equivalent of Chinese or Euro basketball? You get paid, it's good but it ain't top tier.

Who is the best goalie in the world now?

Who is the best left fullback these days?

Alright let's talk about this for a second. a few years ago, or even before the beginning of the european season, it was pretty much a given that the top keepers were:

Buffon
Neuer
Iker
Lloris
J. Cesar
...and the list goes on.

Right now, only 2 of those 5 are automatic starters for their club squads.

Crazy, ain't it???

Iker got injured and frozen out at RM. Cesar has been all over the place at QPR, so much so that they've resorted to Robert Green between the sticks (LOL). And Lloris took over for a very much in form and not ready to give it up Brad Friedel. He's starting to be more regular, but he was automatic at OL. Buffon and Neuer are automatics.

And then if you look at the US keepers, the emergence of Brad Guzan is starting to give people pause over Howard. The same thing happened with Mexico. Memo Ochoa was the concrete #1 then Corona started playing out of his mind, and even took over the keeper position in the national team.
