He's over, to be sure, but maybe not universally. When he stops getting snarky "Goldberg" chants, I might feel differently, but I'm not sure anybody over, say, 14 is all that fond of him.

Second, John Cena is intelligent, articulate, and perfectly suited to be the public face of the company. Ryan Reeves, while not dumb, from what I've seen from interviews, is nowhere near Cena is terms of mainstream marketability. If you're WWE public relations, you can confidently send Cena anywhere, for any kind of public appearance, with the guarantee that he will acquit himself with class, professionalism, and humor. Not too many guys on the roster you can say that about, Ryback included.

Maybe Ryback grows into that, but he's got a ways to go. If I'm Vince, I'm not pushing Cena aside until I'm absolutely certain I've got a replacement.
