Crawford has the other legit argument but Jack comes off the bench and controls that team for long periods of time, including down the stretch of games. He also allows Steph to play off the ball a lot more often which opens up the game for him and teammates.
2147281, Crawford will win it based on #s and team record

I was watching Dallas the other night and they were clamoring for Vince lol
2147299, such a dumb award.

2147304, whys that?
Posted by the_time_is_when_god...lounge, Thu Mar-14-13 02:18 PM
2147309, because it's silly and arbitrary.
Posted by Guinness, Thu Mar-14-13 02:22 PM
crawford plays 30 minutes a game. willie green and billups are the "starters" but play less. who gives a shit which player is on the court at the beginning of games?
2147472, ...so?

It's pretty squarely "this is the first guy that comes off the bench". There's nothing more arbitrary than adding an arbitrary minutes requirement to an arbitrary award.

I like it, especially years where guys like Manu are very clearly impacting the entire game once they come in.

2147473, dude, i'm not arguing for minute requirements.

fine, reward craw for playing well off the bench -- but let's not pretend it's a meaningful thing.

2147488, No, you're just saying this is "meaningless".

Kind of a lame group this year. Crawford has won before and plays on the team with the best record so he will win. His numbers are also big, he is their leading scorer, no? He and Jack are the kind of subs I like, pick up the pace and intensity real quick.
