From a quick search it looks like an echocardiogram costs around $500 per test, and I bet that that cost would be significantly lower when getting them from an entire team with a group rate. College teams will spare no expense in medical cast to keep players on the field, but when it comes to a screening that could save lives (but also potentially keep a player off of the field) they only do it for those showing symptoms?
