2111089, Schaub is fucking garbarge. Question though... Posted by NotScared2Ask, Sun Jan-13-13 08:02 PM
Is he too easy a target?
Feel like I could make this thread at the start of EVERY year and it would never ever get upped
You gotta really fucking suck for OKS to not make an agenda out of you

2111090, Matt "the least mobile QB ever" Schaub Posted by Deebot, Sun Jan-13-13 08:04 PM
|
2111092, Actually he's not. He's accurate as hell. We have 3 guys he can throw to Posted by Binlahab, Sun Jan-13-13 08:05 PM
He also has a o line designed to be small fast & mobile to better execute the zone blocking scheme. However it results in him getting hit way more then he should.
He's a good qb. He needs better protection and coaching and play calling and blocking.
do or die

2111104, Keep that somewhere close. You will be pasting that message Posted by NotScared2Ask, Sun Jan-13-13 08:19 PM
for the rest of his shitty career.
He doesn't even have an aspect of his game you can look forward to growing lol.
|
2111111, He's in his 30s. No he won't get better Posted by Binlahab, Sun Jan-13-13 08:27 PM
But he's a more than capable game manager and he's got an excellent grasp of kubiaks offense.
He has an aging brittle te as his 2nd option. The texans issues have been the same for years...it's not Schaub.
|
2111826, he can't throw past 20 yards man, he's hurt Posted by Mgmt, Mon Jan-14-13 11:32 PM
they're hiding an injury from us.
|
2111095, I mean Kubiak's not getting rid of him, but..... Posted by Beamer6178, Sun Jan-13-13 08:08 PM

Hard to see Alex Smith playing worse, especially with the weapons Schaub has and since Alex is a better athlete.
Just saying....Schaub has been in the same system for SEVERAL YEARS and just ain't cutting it.

2111116, 2 division titles. 24 wins incl playoffs in 2 seasons Posted by Binlahab, Sun Jan-13-13 08:30 PM
A 4k yard passer with literally 2 decent options, Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels both of whom are 30+, etc
do or die
|
2111140, I'm not saying he hasn't had success Posted by Beamer6178, Sun Jan-13-13 09:08 PM
>A 4k yard passer with literally 2 decent options, Andre >Johnson and Owen Daniels both of whom are 30+, etc > >do or die
I'm just saying I don't think he's going to be able to elevate them beyond where they are now.

2111152, You could see the brown stain on the back of his pants Posted by cereffusion, Sun Jan-13-13 09:41 PM
Flacco better.
|
2111166, that whole team top to bottom is soft. He's partially to blame. Posted by Tiger Woods, Sun Jan-13-13 10:19 PM
Schaub is talented enough, but in these games you need more from your quarterback. Times like these are when a quarterback's charisma and, well, balls can will a team through. He has no charisma and no balls.
|
2111186, the team has no mental toughness. at all. Posted by cereffusion, Sun Jan-13-13 10:36 PM
|
2111291, This is the kind of sports hyperbole I hate Posted by Binlahab, Mon Jan-14-13 05:06 AM
Andre Johnson is soft, now? Arian foster...soft?
They won their division twice in a row. They then went on the road to bmore last her, NE this year and lost to better teams. Now the whole team is soft? Fuck outta here
|
2111338, their fans are soft too Posted by cereffusion, Mon Jan-14-13 10:20 AM

2111227, he is subpar Posted by Ownzdacourt, Sun Jan-13-13 11:30 PM
nothing much to it.
it hurts when other teams put up points and your own Qb can't throw a deep ball.
|
2111267, His ceiling is second round of the playoffs. Posted by BennyTenStack, Mon Jan-14-13 12:45 AM
He'll never play in a Super Bowl, let alone win one.
|
2111268, He's not garbage. He's just not elite. Posted by Orbit_Established, Mon Jan-14-13 12:48 AM

2111292, He's in the most QB friendly offense in the league Posted by IceburgSmurf, Mon Jan-14-13 05:13 AM
the best run game a top 5 receiver a very good tight end a top 5 defense. If he can't get to the AFC championship game minimum with this team as it is he cant do it with any team.
and someone mentioned above he has two division titles.... would he have any of them if peyton hadnt got injured. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................erm i mean, i have no interest in the texans and don't know why im going this hard
|
2111297, if if was a 5th we'd all be drunk. Posted by Binlahab, Mon Jan-14-13 06:52 AM
arian foster had a hell of a season dre day caught for more yds this season then he ever has in his career 3 of his lineman are going to the pro bowl
etc
bottom line is while very good...the Texans arent an elite squad. yet. still not yet.
whats missing: more quality o line depth (OR a coach who can better use the guys on the roster) an additional quality pass receiving option deeper LB corps simply better secondary totally. we've got 1 good CB who had a season long hamstring issue. after that we got kareem jackson. shit aint rocket science.
bottom line. we didnt get it done. is it partially schaub? 100%. he throws THE most untimely INTs of all time. but its not ALL his fault. its systemic & organizational. we got work to do. like they said after the 1st Pats loss...thats how you compete on an elite level. as we saw by the confusion on D far too often last night...we arent ready. the end.

2111365, no #2 WR Posted by Ownzdacourt, Mon Jan-14-13 10:54 AM

2111806, good passer, decent head on his shoulders but slow and not a guy ... Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Mon Jan-14-13 10:49 PM
who is going to take you to the next level like a brady, elway, manning, brees, etc.
i dunno, the texans just strike me as kind of overall soft. plenty of talent there but where is the fire?
|
2111905, Him and Flacco are like the corsican brothers Posted by T Reynolds, Tue Jan-15-13 08:34 AM
they even kind of look alike in a weird way
