Unless that "I've made mistakes as well" is his encompassing admission to the PR nightmare that his team of people created and mismanaged with that whole cluster. That whole paragraph, to me, just glosses over how much of a dick move the entire thing was to people he's now trying to butter up again.

Edit: Even the part about the fan's reaction, he may as well have said "I'm sorry for the reaction that my actions caused". That's, uh...
