Living in a world of lunatics
I decided to go crazy on a Monday
Sanity abandoned
My outerwear became a luxury
I could no longer bear
Walking the crowded streets
Talking inside my head to a community of folks
Related but unfamiliar
I saw a woman without shoes
I thought to do the same
So I gave her mine
A perfect fit with room to spare
Her soles would find comfort
My soul would find peace
