It's fun.

If you're mad at this movie, that's on YOU now 5 movies in, you didn't expect this not to be dumb as fuck.

Helps that this is the first time I actually liked all the human characters for a change.

It builds out the lore of The Hallow Earth using mythology from KNONG: SKULL ISLAND and I'm not mad at it.

Best kaiju fights of the series (thus far). Kong does some wild shit. You'll see.
750244, Enjoyed the back half a lot.

First half crawls and has some surprisingly dodgy effects given how terrific the last movie looked. I think they were saving the effects budget for the last hour and change, because it eventually turns on, and then the movie becomes a really fun spectacle. But man, I was *worried* after that first 45 minutes or so. Dan Stevens was the only thing trying to bring up the energy in that stretch, lol.
750246, This movie knows what it is

They still haven't figured out to have as little human involvement as possible but people who complain about that don't realize how little time kaijus appear in every Godzilla film.

The fights are like Michael Bay's Transformers except the action is slow enough to follow.
750255, Enjoyed it. It is what it is.

I will say of all the Monarch Monsterverse movies, it has the least amount of lulls in action.
