749022, A Haunting in Venice (Kenneth Branagh, 2023)

Saw this shit last Wednesday night.

Everyone I've talked to said it's their favorite of the three thus far.

I get it.

Outside of Kenny B's direction and the killer's reveal, I was okay with it.

1. We seriously need someone else directing these. Please.

2. I couldn't stop laughing during the reveal when Poirot was breaking down how and why. Shit was a stretch.

3. One actor got the short shift here. You'll know when you see it.

With that said, I wouldn't mind a new Poirot mystery every 2 years.

Just with a new director and back to being shot on 70mm film like the first two.

I imagine a lot of people with like this one the most, but I had more fun with Death on the Nile. But it's certainly better than Murderon the Orient Express.

Shout out to Disney for getting me absolutely hammered beforehand with an open bar.

Breaking down the logic of it all takes away the spookiness, but it was still kinda fun.

Even when crying most of the time, Kelly Reilly is so fine.
