I saw this at TIFF last September and it was fun in a full theatre, probably benefits from that environment too. While not as absurd, there is a bit of an underlying horror parody (Scary Movie etc.) comedy to the film as well, that feels like references to more of that older generation rather than modern horror stuff, but it's grounded in the whole 'who dies first if they're all black' idea and just those kind of comedy references as well.

The ensemble cast chemistry seemed solid, and the characters are as well developed as I think they could be considering they all had their own small story and there isn't really a main one.
747490, The short this is based on:

This deserves to develop cult classic status. So many perfectly constructed and executed jokes. Wish I could have seen this in a packed theater but I haven't laughed this much at a movie at home in a minute. They Called Tyrone would probably match it if that didn't have more serious elements to it.

If golden era okayplayer was a movie, it'd be this.
748704, Totally agree. This will pick up steam around Halloween for sure.

Super predictable and relied on the same old tropes.
Got a few chuckles, but that's about it.
