Just finished Season 1....damn what a roller coaster.

Havent started S2 yet (prolly this weekend), so I wont complain about a couple of unanswered questions just yet, but if you dug Luther, I think this is the show for you. Couple of familiar faces if you liked Top Boy and watched Eastenders a few, few years back.

But damn good detective show.

Anna Friel has been hot for the longest. She was stunning in Pushing Daisies. I haven't seen Marcella yet, definitely interested in checking it out. It's disappointing to see good actresses get their face all modified though

and Luther.. haven't gotten to it... and am not currently in that rabbit hole.

The way Edward (her son) kept looking back at the car at his girlfriends house? I felt the hairs on my arm raising.

I NEVER in a million years suspected her to be behind this...at all.

There are tons of subplots, and I still ain't sure if the lady running the childrens charity is all the way clean either.

Not feeling her "dying" at the end though.

But yeah...this shit was crazy

Season was incredible until the last episode.

A lot of threads/sub plots had little to zero payoff


Homegirl went from damaged/flawed, but likeable
to ....well, very unlikable.

From suddenly abandoning her kids to slicing
her own face (laugh out loud corny) it’s like
the writers gave up and said “let’s just do the most
batshit crazy thing we can think of and dare the
audience to come back next season”

I can’t think of a show/season that went from
excellent to dog shit in such a dramatic
fashion.

I would honestly like an opportunity to ask the
writers, etc what the fuck they were thinking.

Shit was awful.

She gave her kids up cause she knew she wanted to kill herself.

She had already killed her baby, so what makes her fit to be a mother? Ya know? (in her mind).

Didn't dig that whole scene when she cut her face either, but it was more of a "wtf??" than a "oh, the whole season is ruined now" for me.

the whole season was fantastic until the very end of the last episode. I’m hoping something will be revealed next season to make that ending a little better but that was way over the top. How can you root for her going forward? PS the son was getting on nerves a little with his stupidity. My friend just got killed, then I was almost raped and killed, this car outside is weirding me out but sure I’ll come inside with you. Maybe the husband isn’t such an asshole. Also, she never asked that dude that worked with her why the fuck are you spying on me? I guess he liked her but it was weird that she didn’t even ask.

I think that’s when the season started going down hill.

I thought season 1 was fine. Luther-lite. Love Anna Friel. Probably the only reason I watched.
Watched the first ep of S02 and was so bored with all the plot lines. It all felt very...same. Like i've seen so many creepy pedo's on british tv/film in the last 10 years. I think I've had enough.

it picks up at a certain point, although idk if it's actually good, and I felt the same way about S1

there are things about it that I really loved, and things about it that I really hated. more things I loved, but things I hated were pretty bad.

- The relationships are good, and it does feel like Luther Lite, but its good.

Would recommend.
