I'm okay with those movies for adults, but yeah, the days when superheroes had a more code never to kill seem to be over. There was a definite shift from 'stop the bad guys' to 'kill the bad guys'.

It's telling that in the comics Deadpool was introduced as a villain. He was very much a ruthless assassin. In the movies, he's still kind of an assassin, but aside from some lecturing by Colossus (a subplot which never goes anywhere, as Colossus still agrees to help him in both movies), Deadpool's status as a hero and 'good guy' is never really questioned.

Venom kind of does that too.

Yeah it's definitely not cool, considering all the merch targeting kids that comes from these franchises. There's no denying that they expect kids to see these movies too, regardless of rating.
