The structure is nonsensical. The Laura Linney plotline is insulting to Linney. Hanks stands around and look stoic. Yeah, the plane landing sequence isn't uninteresting... but it's two-thirds of the way through the movie, as a 20+ minute flashback while Sully sits in a bar with Michael Rapaport. And we then watch the plane crash again fifteen minutes later when Sully listens to the audio recording from the crash.
I don't know why I see Clint movies anymore, man. The guy who made Unforgiven is loooooong gone.
