710599, Hello, My Name is Doris (Michael Showalter, 2016) Posted by Frank Longo, Fri Apr-08-16 02:28 PM
Yes, that Michael Showalter.
This movie is sweet and pretty goddamn funny. It's just a fantastic vehicle for Sally Field, who is still so incredibly gifted on screen-- you just like her the second she pops up, and her comedic timing is so sharp. Schmitty from New Girl is really good here as the object of her affections, and Tyne Daly kills it as her best friend.
A strong date night choice, fellas.

710616, do the members of The State pop up in it? Posted by seandammit, Fri Apr-08-16 07:54 PM
Either way, I'm in.

710617, Sadly no, but a lot of funny people are in it. Posted by Frank Longo, Fri Apr-08-16 08:30 PM
Wendi McLendon-Covey from Reno 911, Rich Sommer from the recent Wet Hot series, Kumail Nanjiani, Stephen Root, Natasha Lyonne, Kyle Mooney, Don Stark... it's a strong cast.

710619, Trailer didn't impress Posted by Nodima, Fri Apr-08-16 10:00 PM
And it's only on a two night run here. Hopefully comes to Netflix soon, I did like the idea and the cast.
