I used to love the anime posts here .One of my favorite way to discover new good ones but I searched could not find it. I thought the last one was the Spring 2015, can't find it anywhere. Feel free to delete this if it's out there.

I'm currently checking these shows:

-Kekkai Sensen: Favorite new show right now can't get enough. Beautifully made. Interesting story.Can't get enough of it. They already have a decent English Dub for this.I'll stick with the sub though.

-Gangsta: Reminds me of Samurai Champloo but the music reminds me of Cowboy.Japanese sure know how to tell stories about criminal deviants

-Assassination Classroom: I was supposed to hate this but I can't stop watching this. It's so out there that its good.

Pretty average, not that interesting. Every single damn episode had a plot that involved hacking of some kind, which got tedious real quick.

Watched Princess Kaguya today, quite long and ended pretty abruptly, but overall I liked it. Needless to say the animation was pretty amazing, with yet another great score by Joe Hisaishi.

I really need to watch Attack on Titan already.

the overall concept seems to owe a lot to Minority Report. it's cool so far, but I can't help but feel the show was created in order to sell replicas of the protagonists' guns. it's quite obvious, actually.

I watched the first season and the shit watched itself it was so good. Still have to check out that 2nd season. It's one of those shows that could adapt very well in an Hollywood flick but yeah I definitely see the parallels with Minority Report.

The character development was good and I really dug the story. I've yet to get past episode 2 in the second season but not because it's bad.

I see that it's popular but I haven't taken the plunge.

It takes about that long to really get what's going on and why they're fighting.

Once you get that point it gets extremely interesting.

they should've let urobutchi take a pass at rewriting it for TV. cause when it's good it's amazing. but it's bogged down by too much visual novel bullshit.

Yes it's a great show.Looks beautiful.I love the twist that happens towards the end regarding the main character I have a couple of episodes before I finish it, then I plan to watch Fate/Zero that looks even better.

Kekkai Sensen- just started it, only 3 eps in. Like it so far.

Gangsta- LOVE IT! It def has some pacing problems but I still digging it so far.

Need to catch up on the rest of the summer line up.

Def one of my fav shows ever.

take away from the show. For sports anime, I find Haikyuu!! to be much better, and Chihayafuru is amazing, although the latter isn't what comes to mind when people think "sports."

I never enjoyed the sport themed animes until I checked that one out. Ping Pong of all sports and they managed to make it look baller.

few years, and it's one of my favorites ever. Animation and the whole aesthetic of the show is just beautiful. The main character, Kumiko, is also one of the best characters of recent years, as her development and overall personality just felt very real. I know slice-of-life stuff isn't as big on these boards, but I think everyone should give it a chance.

Kekkai Sensen is also pretty good, but I think Hibike! overshadowed it for me.

For this season I'm really enjoying Non Non Biyori Repeat and Akagami no Shirayukihime. The latter is a pretty nice shoujo series, and it has a very nice female main character who actually shows a lot of agency and isn't your typical damsel in distress, even if the title is supposed to be Snow White with the Red Hair.

There are strong carryovers from last season too like Shokugeki no Soma, Ore Monogatari, and Arslan Senki.

Prison School is ridiculous dumb and hilarious, and Charlotte seems to be pretty interesting.

That's the one on my to watch list that I'll dedicate a whole evening to. Heard a lot of great things about it.

watched the first ep on a whim.... was ready to never watch again until the twist at the end. Im not current, think Ive seen 5 eps. But I like it so far.

The balance of this show is so good and refreshing. It seems so light hearted, but man the tension that builds is great.


Yuki's delusions is really driver for the plot.

This is my favorite show this season.

Very repetitive. Yet on the website I go to for anime it was listed in the top 10 for current anime series. The premise is great, but the writing.

Seraph of the End is legit good. I really recommend that one and has been around the top of my list for a bit.

Also Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Satisfies my mecha needs and also a good jumping on point if you're lost to Gundam (which I have been for awhile now)

Just found out about a manga called I am a Hero. About zombies and shit hitting the fan, but from what I read so far its really good.

Don't know what made me remember this but I had an itch to watch New Dominion Tank Police. Remember checking out the OVA back in the 90s and really digging it. Super hard to find, but not if you're well antiquated with the internets. I own the DVD but until I can locate it this will have to due.

That manga is good. Really dark & weird but I enjoyed it. Is it still running? I had caught up with it earlier this year.

I just recently re-watched the original Dominion Tank Police on YouTube. it was much more "deep" than I remember.

It is pretty deep. I enjoyed it while a lot younger but since re watching it there are some things that went over my young mind that I get now. Classic anime if you ask me.

I mainly use crunchyroll.com for my anime. If its not on there then I acquire it through "other" means that require space on my hard drive. I do cop the blu-ray of stuff I really love and want to keep though. If its something I have to add to my collection then I'll buy it. But yeah crunchyroll is cheap enough for me to stream most of my stuff from there.

It was probably a tad overhyped. Could've used another ten eps or so, but I guess they didn't have enough material. Love Mumen Rider though!

but still really enjoyable.

You'll definitely need to play the video games to get the most out of it though.

the only downpoints is when the protagonist gets emo as shit for like a full episode...but otherwise...nice blend of comedy and action

Subaru is an emotional trainwreck but I think he represents our most immature human emotions.Just flawed to the bone. Regardless of his intentions, he seems to always make the worse possible decision and has a selfish sense of entitlement. It's interesting to see him grow up. Rem is probably my favorite character on the show, though

- Ajin: How do you even describe Ajin? Dude just realizes that he is one of these immortal beings that humanity fears and hunts down and is on a run from an organization while discovering that some people close to him might have things in common with him. I love this show. Very grown up.

I was about to start season 2 then decided to start from the beginning. How did I miss this? So freaking epic! The story , the characters , the music ( that themes song been stuck in my brain for a week now), even the fan service is done with care. Soma Yukihira is just a bad ass and I love that all the techniques, schools, awards and recipes they talk about are all real.

fortunately I love Naruto. I'm about to get into the manga now.

At first I hated it for being so similar to One Punch Man (protagonist is an all-powerful simpleton) but it turned out to be great

working on Lupin III series 4, which took me half the series to figure out they brought back most of the series 2 dub voices. They're even doing the goofy, borderline stereotype accents for different nationalities.

Watching the new Kino's Journey which took some getting used to. I'd fallen in love with the old OVA, but its good.

Just watching Black Clover and just finished Juuni Taisen. Looking for something else to watch.

Lots of fan service but the story is interesting so far, and the characters are quite good as well.

I'm not a big anime guy but I'm learning Japanese and have watched literally all the live action shows in Japanese they have, so anime is a good stopgap.

A.I.C.O. Incarnation is clearly heavily influenced by Akira, but the show manages to blend a nightmarish sprawling enemy with good character backstories and an interesting biological angle.

Children of the Whales is fantasy of the best kind, with a unique world that feels immediately familiar yet retains mystery throughout the season. The plot was punchy (although as usual with these shows I could've done without the random musical sequences) and the action surprisingly gory

They are getting the hang of it.

Persona 5 is exactly like the game even down to the music. I love it! That being said dont watch it if you ever plan to play the game. (which you should because its awesome)
