1. The horror tropes are so by the book, predictable, and generic that I often groaned out loud. Oh, my, he falls 8 times trying to outrun the bad guy, how suspenseful...

2. The comedic relief kid from stranger things was not funny. They could have inserted some actual humor, but this has hack written all over the writing. Like some adult who does not understand either children or humor wrote these super-forced jokes. Very uninspired casting. Too similar to Stranger Things.

3. Unexplored directions - the whole history of the town shit led to nothing at all and was just forgotten for more scares.

4. The one female being an object that not only two males, fight over and actively pursue, but is objectified throughout the movie (not even talking the dad stuff).

5. The marginalized black man in a horror film.

I could go on. Are there any non-psychotic adults in this town. Trying to remember...
