687188, Was Bravo really foggy for anyone else last night?
Posted by Ceej, Thu Oct-16-14 01:57 PM

They really fell in love with the editing room in post on that show.

especially during the introduction of the chef. i have came to the
conclusion the chefs they paid attention to the most during the
introduction are the ones to watch during the season
687207, Excited for this season.

Gotta catch up though, didn't know it started yet.
687223, It's in my city. Couldn't be more excited.

687269, George vs Gregory
Posted by Crucian1, Sat Oct-18-14 05:43 PM
Fuck George arrogant wack ass. And he's right Mike Isabella will clown his ass. Having met dude that jerky personality is real. Soooo glad Gregory picked him off in a quickfire.

You went home cause you suck and your slow ass couldn't shuck clams. and given the opportunity to pick anyone in the room to compete against you grab the dude on your team because he picked mackerel and left you doing clams...but your ass swear you boss on prep work. FOH

Great 1st start to season.

687616, kind of wish George was still around
Posted by will_5198, Fri Oct-24-14 02:00 PM
seems like he had plenty more moments left in him where he completely bombs.
687874, thats the beauty of top chef though
Posted by Crucian1, Wed Oct-29-14 06:06 PM
as much as you know folks are mad talented all that bragging matters not if you can't make that shit to the plate and make it good.

See Jen Carroll during all stars.

687556, Raw vanilla porkchops....yum
Posted by Deebot, Thu Oct-23-14 12:17 PM
Lol at the Boston chick just cooking good chicken and letting those two douchebags argue....both of them are incredibly annoying.

Lmao at the green team dude saying "You made a corn salad in 2 hours," then at judge's table Tom says "It took you two hours to make that bacon jam?" and dude hangs his head in defeat. So good.

Asian girl's backtracking after tasting Katsuji's sauce was also pretty hilarious. I'm making the sauce, motherfucker! No? Then make your sauce asap and I'm gonna taste it! The look of confusion/disappointment on her face after tasting it and realizing it was good was priceless.
687609, man i was happy her face fell to the ground after the taste

687615, that was a great throwback episode
Posted by will_5198, Fri Oct-24-14 01:59 PM
to the old days when chefs were just fucking up left and right in hilarious ways. we even got a Todd English cameo, the old Boston relic that nobody cares about except for Aaron (who might've just been in awe at how much back rent English owes).

blondie making a cold corn salad with peppers and onions -- in two hours -- was amazing. hyperventilating that your teammate is in the weeds because she actually has to cook something that couldn't be finished 90 minutes ago killed me.

of course, even that couldn't beat Agar Aaron's masterpiece: trying to impress the judges with a technique that was interesting about 10 years ago....and still fucking it up.

the old team challenge shitshow. loved it.
687625, It looked like people were trying to eat the porkchops...
Posted by Deebot, Fri Oct-24-14 06:00 PM
If pork is that undercooked, aren't you supposed to get the fuck away from it instead of eat it? Aren't the chances of getting really sick pretty high?
687659, it was veal...which you can eat raw
Posted by will_5198, Sun Oct-26-14 10:39 AM
but it's just not very appetizing when it's half-grilled like that.
688645, bragging about making corn silk nests at Atelier Crenn...
Posted by will_5198, Sun Nov-16-14 07:14 PM
...but can't make a Ina Garten-level gazpacho. I love these contestants!

on that note, I'll really miss Aaron. his perverse self-belief in the "wow factor" of decades-new cooking techniques with his own fucked up spin was great.

looks like it's the Gregory show until the producers give us a reason not to root for him.
688667, This Gregory dude might be the earliest, clearest frontrunner
Posted by Deebot, Mon Nov-17-14 11:57 AM
in the show's history. He beat a quality Asian woman at dumplings...good grief.
688675, LOL, and not only that, HE CHOSE dumplings. Dude called his shot

689522, How do you never check on your dish?
Posted by Ceej, Fri Dec-05-14 07:49 AM
a) its so simple you assume theres no way it can be fucked up and you dont need to worry about it (great strategy to win)

b) youre a close eyed idiot

690199, Gronk: "This leaf...is beautiful"
Posted by Deebot, Thu Dec-18-14 09:06 AM
highlight of the episode.
690201, As a oats and top chef fan that was an awesome episode.
Posted by muzuabo, Thu Dec-18-14 10:03 AM
Padma was laying it on thick last night.
690234, She seems like shes down for anything
Posted by Ceej, Thu Dec-18-14 02:54 PM
690244, Isn't she happily married? She's always flirting
Posted by Deebot, Thu Dec-18-14 05:27 PM
probably because she knows her husband would never leave her.
690275, Single and ready to fuck I believe
Posted by Ceej, Fri Dec-19-14 12:04 PM
690276, word? She got divorced already?
Posted by Deebot, Fri Dec-19-14 12:11 PM
Hmmmmmm
690277, Shes only been married to Rushdie
Posted by Ceej, Fri Dec-19-14 12:55 PM
690279, Previously.tv talked mad trash about her.
Posted by muzuabo, Fri Dec-19-14 02:31 PM
If you watch the show regularly you know she drops innuendos all over the place. I wouldn't say gronk hit it but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
690281, what the fuck kinda site is that?
Posted by Ceej, Fri Dec-19-14 03:37 PM
692358, So it's the two that we suspected from the beginning
Posted by Deebot, Fri Feb-06-15 12:44 PM
Don't really care who wins, I'll be happy for them either way. Seems like Gregory put in the most work to research Mexican cuisine though, so he might have the edge. Although for the finale they might be able to make whatever the hell they want...

Teach Me How to Dougie got the ant eggs and cheese, poor bastard. Lol. He already got booted once though so he can't complain too much. Plus he's clearly one of those obnoxious "fuck dessert!" chefs. Hot chocolate in a bowl, cmon.
692361, I started out rooting for Gregory but
Posted by muzuabo, Fri Feb-06-15 01:54 PM
then I started pushing for Dougie. He seems like the least annoying person to hang out with and it looks like he makes good food.

Got tired of Gregory's marathon and drug addict storyline. Y'all should peep out previously.tv They skewer Gregory and the other chefs pretty well.
692387, I dunno man, Gregory kinda corny, but Dougie seems like an asshole
Posted by Deebot, Fri Feb-06-15 06:47 PM
I don't see what's annoying about Mei, she seems pretty down-to-earth and subdued.
692763, This finale sucked (spoiler).......
Posted by KCPlayer21, Thu Feb-12-15 09:55 PM
Gregory got straight hosed because Tom fell in love with Mei's corny ass dessert. I really hate that they dont take the total season's output into consideration when deciding the winner.....

Greg seemed to have the most missteps in the finale. They didn't like both his 2nd and 3rd dish, and sure Tom loved her dessert, but they also loved Greg's fourth dish. The only knock on Mei was really the way the octopus was cooked in the first dish, and not even all the judges disliked that part.

Regardless of anyone's track record, it's a weekly challenge, and that's all that matters. So someone who does worse in the finale but had a better track record should win? That's like saying some team who lost a sports championship should still be the winner because they had a better overall record during the regular season. Not sure I understand the logic there, and to be honest it seems like Mei's overall track record was better than Gregs, who had a lot of high points but was pretty inconsistent the latter half of the show until the finale.
692782, RE: This finale sucked (spoiler).......

They wanted another female winner.

I kinda got the feeling that Gregory should have saved one of his coconut-curry dishes for the finale.
